Sandra Day O’Connor (who voted for Roe vs Wade) predicted that it’s Achilles heal would be just this scenario. Abortion law is completely predicated on “viability”. States can pass all the law they want about abortion once viability is reached. Women have no legal “right to choose” after that point. As viability gets earlier it’s not hard to imagine a time when abortion will in fact becomes illegal at all ages. I’m OK with that.
Great post and article. Regardless of viability age, life is life abortion is anti-life. All this violence against the weakest humans in our society is tragic as is the loss of worldwide human capital.
I am the proud father of a preemie smaller than the one described. She is now 20 years old and a great young adult. Then privilege God gave me to see his creation at this fragile stage is a memory I will forever treasure.
