h/t Tuesday.
I first heard a snippet of this song on Looney Tunes, as a kid, done by Porky Pig.
Thank you Tuesday, for clueing me in on where it came from. 😀

I still know how to play “Annie’s song” on guitar.
It’s one of those timeless tunes. I’ve always like it.
remember that Looney Tunes …. Porky was doing his Friar Tuck impersonation
Interesting enough, I do not remember ANY
John Denver songs in any music class in the ’70’s.
One of the many renditions of “A Christmas Carol” (1951 version with Alistair Sim [my favorite] called Scrooge) was the first time I heard this song.
Yes, Claudia! That is where I first heard this song, Barbara Allen! I love it and I dearly love that movie! It is THE BEST one of all the Scrooge movies by far! 🙂 Merry Christmas!

Who hasn’t recorded Barbra Allen? The list would probably be shorter.
