Baylor Graduate Alleges 52 Rapes By Football Players In New Lawsuit

DailyCaller:

A Baylor University graduate, who was allegedly raped by two Baylor football players in 2013, claims in a new lawsuit filed Friday that 31 players committed 52 acts of rape over a four-year span.

The woman, who filed the suit under the name Elizabeth Doe, is suing the university for Title IX violations and negligence, The Dallas Morning News reports.

An initial investigation facilitated by Baylor officials found that 17 women reported sexual or domestic assaults involving 19 football players, including four gang rapes, since 2011.

A more recent investigation by lawyers found that at least 52 “acts of rape,” including five gang rapes, by 31 football players occurred between the years of 2011 to 2014.

  1. With all due respect, proof please. Then again, perhaps these accusations are based on the premise “All sex is rape.”

    Red Flag: “…investigation by lawyers…”

  2. If a rape is reported then the police are brought in and no deals are allowed between the plaintiff and either the assailant or the organization (in this case Baylor). This goes through the court and justice will take precedence over any attempt to pay off or cover up the assault. I’m convinced that rape on campus does not occur with the frequency that the left loves to report however I’m also convinced it does occur and should be handled by the cops and the judicial system. I wonder if the reason why the NFL has so many thugs is that college taught them that they were above the rules.

  3. Title IX has been misused and abused on college campuses and there are many cases underreported that have resulted in ruined lives. Think U of VA/Rolling Stone and Mattress Girl.
Does unwanted sex occur on campuses? Probably. Are girls drinking to excess and situations go further and they have regrets the next morning? Yes. Personal responsibility used to mean something.
Are there cases of outright rape where no alcohol/drugs were involved? Don’t know, if so this should be investigated with criminal prosecution to follow.
College admin has no place investigating Title IX cases, and especially not 4 years after the fact.

  4. scr_north – this would imply judicial involvement? I’ve got to admit, I expected more from Ken Starr. Wondered how these football players would fair at last weekend’s women’s street protests …. all those pink teeth and such ….
