Yeah, I deleted my PayPal account last week for that reason.
Zelle is the way to go. All the others are subject to a 1099 because they hold on to the money. Zelle is just a transfer from one bank to another.
That, the 1099 thing, came into play around November (I think) last year and it was retroactive for Paypal users. You couldn’t avoid it for everything you did previously that year.
I’m not about to account for the same money twice.
