Biden and Fetterman draw questions about fitness for office ahead of joint campaign appearance

JTN: President Biden and Pennsylvania Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman are drawing questions about their fitness for office ahead of a joint campaign appearance in the swing state.

Fetterman, who suffered a stroke on May 13, needed closed captioning during an interview with NBC News journalist Dasha Burns. Following the interview, Burns said Fetterman had difficulty understanding what was being said prior to their on-camera conversation.

“During some of those conversations before the closed captioning was rolling, it wasn’t clear he could understand what we were saying,” Burns reported on air.

The interview prompted Fetterman’s opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz, to call for more information to be publicly released about his health.

The Oz campaign said in a statement on Wednesday: “The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Editorial Board called on both candidates to release their medical records weeks ago and The Washington Post Editorial Board called out Fetterman for his lack of transparency. Pennsylvanians deserve to know the truth before they cast a vote on November 8th and John Fetterman needs to be honest with voters.”

Fetterman has defended not releasing his medical records. more

  1. Their fitness for office holds no sway with Democrats. They don’t apply the same set of criteria that a sane, rational person does.
They want historic “firsts”. The first woman, the first gay, the first black, the first native American, the first trans, the first furry, the first convicted and released murderer, the first pedophile, the first illegal. All need a chance to hold elected office and no office is too high up on the political ladder. Whether they’re suited for the position is immaterial.

I was at my stepsons in-laws visiting right after Obama was elected. Both of them are retired social workers for the state of Michigan. Literally shaking with excitement, she told me how gloriously happy she was that we were going to have our first black president. She asked me if I was excited too. I answered, not so much. Puzzled, she asked me why. I told her that I didn’t think the nation would be well served by a Marxist holding the position of the presidency. Her face turned to stone and it was made clear that I was not welcome in their home again.

  2. On someone’s Twitter page they posted a copy from Fetterman’s cardiologist, that said he was fit to serve. His cardiologist. Not his neurologist. I don’t think anyone cares about his physical ability to serve, it’s his mental ability they should be worried about. Aside from his communist proclivities.
