I saw some turkeys out about 3 weeks ago and got one.
It’s weird thinking like that. Every time I shop I buy 4 or 5 or 6 of the item. My gal moans about storage but face it, prepping aside, these items will never be cheaper.

I can be thankful for any meal that I share with my family on Thanksgiving. My whole family, all 3 of my kids and 5 grandkids will celebrate Thanksgiving together this year and that’s a good thing and always will be. I am the oldest one in my family now (since my mom and dad died 4 years ago) and don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to celebrate the holidays with them, so screw the politics and other baloney and just enjoy each others company for as long as we can together. Just like we did growing up when my grandparents and mom and dad and aunts and uncles and cousins and friends all got together for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And this year I’m putting my 2 daughters in charge of making Challah for everyone, it’s their turn to step up and continue the traditions and pass it on eventually to their kids and grandkids. and to remember all the good times as a family together.
