Patriot Retort: I’ve been watching the unfolding Taliban takeover of Afghanistan for a couple of months now. Mostly, if you want to know what’s happening in Afghanistan, you have to turn to foreign news sources because here in the US, the American corporate news media is far too busy with Delta Variant Panic Porn and DeSantis-bashing to pay the disintegration of Afghanistan any mind.
And anyone who has been following the story could’ve told you that the current situation we find ourselves in was inevitable.
But apparently nobody in the Biden Administration saw it coming.
My jaw about dropped to the floor when I saw this tweet from John Haltiwanger Wednesday.
I love Dianny’s Patriot Retort, but I couldn’t even read past the first few paragraphs because it was so maddening and so true, and I already knew the whole story, start to finish.
Well, that’s all wrapped up, so now he’s free to work on pronouns and robocalls.
I can’t help but wonder if the current administration is hoping to plunge the entire globe into conflict to take attention away from their incompetence and their crimes.
Let’s be honest, we could have given the Afghan government a year notice and the end result would have been the same. And no, I dont care for a plane load of Afghanies in our country.

The fall of Afghanistan is built on a foundation of 20 years of corrupt practices by administrations of both parties. When American forces bugged out without notice, the baser instincts were triggered in Afghani government officials and they immediately started hoarding money and, most significantly, stealing the Afghan military’s pay.
When Biden turned off the money firehose and removed the security detail, the end was inevitable. The Taliban are the money source now. Biden’s team knew what was going to happen — at least the smart ones did, and there are a few of those.
Obama’s foreign policy was to punish anyone who worked positively with the US in the past, including Gaddafi in Libya. The message was, never put your trust in the US. As long as there is a Democrat Party, that is a correct statement. Obama’s third term will finish what Trump interrupted.

The fall of Cambodia will look tame compared to what the Taliban have planned for the region.
It looks like China is giving tacit approval to open aggression against India. The islamists are right now activating their cells and lone wolves in that country and agitating Muslims in general to violence.
They might leave the former Soviet -stans alone for now, but if a spark ignites in any of them, they will likely be supporting a rapid takeover. Putin is useless as a regional protector, and the Islamists know that, though there is always some risk when dealing with a weakened strongman.
I wonder if Erdogan Pasha had anything to do with funding the Taliban takeover, or if Chinese money is also involved? They surely bought their way into power this time.
