Biden Pardons Five More Family Members—Minutes Before Leaving Office

…Did he not pardon Jill?

Forbes

Joe Biden in the final minutes of his presidency on Monday issued pardons to five more members of his family—his brother James and wife Sarah, his younger sister Valerie Biden Owens and husband John T. Owens, and his brother Francis Biden—after he says they were “subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats” motivated by a desire to hurt him.

The move comes after Biden controversially pardoned his son Hunter—who was previously charged with tax and gun crimes—though Biden’s other family members haven’t faced charges, making their pardons preemptive. This is a developing story and will be updated.

  1. NOW: being they were pardoned, they cannot take the 5th. Time for Congress to drag them on national tv and get aswers for the public. THEN, when they lie, lock them up for perjury and contempt.

  2. Doesn’t this just shelter them from federal crime?
I’m sure an ambitious lawyer could find state crimes, and then bump up their levels…kinda like fat ass Bragg did.

  3. There is a SCOTUS ruling from a century ago, Burdick v US. Woodrow Wilson pardoned George Burdick, who had been subpoenaed to testify re gov’t leaks. Burdick refused the pardon, because he thought it was incriminating. SCOTUS agreed, stating that accepting the pardon would mean accepting the guilt.
So that means all of these people are now *officially guilty* – unless, of course they refuse their pardon.

  4. So, any crimes they committed are pardoned… but does that mean they get to keep the money they acquired illegally?
And, federal pardons only apply to federal crimes, right? So, not only can the states go after them for money laundering crimes, tax evasion, etc., I think we ‘conspiracy theorists’ should file a class action suit and go after them civilly for defamation.
