Biden Regime Proposes Ban on Sale of Portable Gas Generators, Raising Concerns for Power Outage Reliance

GP: Following a series of policy initiatives targeting everyday appliances such as gas stoves, air conditioners, water heaters, and dishwashers, the Biden regime now sets its sights on portable gas generators in the name of climate change.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has proposed a policy that, if implemented, would pull nearly all existing portable gas generators off the market.

The proposal includes a strict policy that would trigger an automatic shut-off for generators when they reach a specified emission limit. Smaller gas generators would be required to reduce carbon monoxide emissions by 50 percent, while larger ones would face an even greater cut of up to 95 percent.

“The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) has preliminarily determined that there is an unreasonable risk of injury and death associated with acute carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning from portable generators. To address this hazard, the Commission proposes a rule under the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA) that limits CO emissions from portable generators and requires generators to shut off when specific emissions levels are reached,” according to the proposed policy.   22. The objective is to have the people completely dependent on government and government controlled sources for all food, shelter, energy and medical care. close to fifty percent of the population relies on government for some or all food, shelter and medical care at this time.

    If you have a gas generator you have an alternative to government controlled energy, not a good one but an alternative none the less. Likewise gas stoves which they also are intending to ban. Automobiles will be a thing of the past for the proletariat if this regime persists, of course exceptions will be made for nomenklatura and the elites.

    Once we are all completely at their mercy our standard and style of living will be dictated by our masters, and we will have no recourse.

    They have to disarm us to make this work, once enough people catch on there isn’t going to be a nonviolent way for them to force the issue and they prefer their victims not shoot back.

    We might be neighbors, had to throw out any perishables I had. Super Wally world nearby had to throw out anything refrigerated or frozen: deli, veggies, meat, dairy, frozen anything. can’t imagine how much that cost. Had to work half this weekend, but as soon as I finish getting all the tree tops in my backyard I chopped up yesterday gone I will look at generators.
