Biden’s Brezhnev vibes – IOTW Report

Biden’s Brezhnev vibes

The Spectator: Born in the Soviet Union, Katya Sedgwick now lives in the United States. She brings a valuable cross cultural-perspective to our perception of Joe Biden’s age-related mental impairment in the Spectator USA column “Biden’s Brezhnev vibes.” She discusses Brezhnev’s impaired physical condition and relates:

“[W]atching news segments on TV, it was hard to avoid conclusion that the general secretary was unfit to rule. His speech was slurred, and his movements unsteady. His mispronunciations were notorious: ‘socialist countries’ came out his mouth as ‘sh-ty sausages’, and ‘systematically’ — as ‘booby boobs’. Towards the end of his life he required the help of an apparatchik to lift his arm to salute the troops at a parade.

Because the official Soviet sources released no medical information, rumors about Brezhnev’s health abounded. So did the jokes. For instance:

‘Brezhnev’s voice on the radio: “Comrades! Imperialist enemies are spreading false rumors that my speeches are played on a record…a record…a record…”’

  1. A friend, who may be a bit of a conspiracy theorist, insists that the Biden we are looking at is not Joe Biden, nor was he in the debates.
I think that once Creepy Joe is confirmed to have won, should that be the case (and I don’t think it will), the Left will have no concern about holding back on his health. They want the puppet Harris in the Oval Office, not Joe. And she will be nothing but a puppet – she understands that her VP slot was a gift that came with a rather huge set of conditions.

  2. Joe will be out before the end of Jan {If he actually gets sworn in}. Then Kamala will solve the worlds problems by implementing her unique approach to handling our enemies. She refers to it as Blowplomacy.

  3. I’m going to interrupt these vibes to ask for immediate prayers for the safe return home of my kitty “Jax”. He came in last night with an injured paw (limping, no sign of serious injury), smelling like someone sprayed him with FeBreeze room freshener and he already had the beginnings of a cold. He shot out early this morning at 4a. and I’ve walked the neighborhood and called him all day and haven’t been able to find him. I LOVE that little guy. He’s a gentle giant of an orange tabby. I’m not sure what I’ll do if he isn’t found. Please, please pray for his safe and speedy return. It’s quite cold in Seattle today.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  4. Sounds like he’s afraid and holed up somewhere, he’ll come to the door after dark sometime when he can get there without being seen. Keep a lookout and hope he’s ok.

  5. Thank you, MJA!

Thank you, gin blossom! That’s what Geoff C. is telling me. I know that if Jax could hear me, he would have come by now.
Cats are incredibly durable and resilient. One of our kitties was hit by a car in front of our house many years ago, breaking his pelvis. He ran off (afternoon) and finally made his way home late that night. How he was able to do it is still a mystery to me. I spent the next several hours at the emergency vet. I pray you and Geoff C. are right. I love my Jax more than is probably normal. He was a feral kitty, dumped as a kitten.

  6. UPDATE ON JAX, THE MISSING CAT:

He’s back!! And none the worse for wear, except the last couple of days have been an ordeal for the poor thing. Last night he came in much later than normal (after my calling and calling), smelling like someone drenched him in Febreeze (that icky-smelling stuff that masks house odors) and he was limping on his front paw. Also, because he was feral, he’s always been a little jumpy, but something really scared him bad — wherever he’d been. Then at 4a. this morning while I was letting our other cat out, Jax jumped past me and out he went. He’s been gone the whole time. I think someone was messing with him, and that makes me really mad. What a freakin’ world we’re living in. I have to say that I HATE people with a white-hot hatred who do bad things to animals. And domestic pets, even if we like to think they are independent or could be, are in our care. That’s our sacred arrangement with God. To treat an animal cruelly should be one the “thou shalt NOTs” in the Ten Commandments.

But now he’s home and I’m so thankful.

Thank you for your prayers, dear friends. I’m so grateful.

  7. Biden is a short-term placeholder for that incompetent, corruptable scumbag Harris.

The only reason Harris ran to the left is because it is where you can go when you have zero talent, are easily bribed, and there are no expectations of you other than treason. Dick-sucking is optional.(Harris picked up on quite a few of those options.)

  8. @Abigail Adams – I was thinking about your Jax as I was outside today doing the leaves, almost as if looking FUR him!

Anyways GLAD he’s HOME and I knew he’d be back…it’s just a kitty thing.

NOW I CAN YELL AT YOU.

Just keep HIM inside!!!! THAT is if he has been in and IS of a certain age? Just keep him IN the protective house, there is just too much shit out there for a semi feral and you to deal with, cars asshole people so IF you can keep them INSIDE.

We had a real feral, her name was the Little Girl she spent her entire life outside, which made is impossible to have her inside with our indoor kitties.

But again if you can keep them inside they also carry…small insects with them from the outide!!

GLAD for your re-unification, been there done that!

  9. Oh AbigailAdams, We Understand, how upset you were. Thank goodness Jax is home. I get it, he goes outside and come home when he, comes home. But you know, things are so crazy so, I think he needs to be safe inside. It’s crazy out there. Like Ghost said, cars and nutty people.

    So happy he is safe!

    God Bless us all!!

  10. @ghost — Yes, I realize our kitties would be better off as indoor cats, but I’ve owned cats my entire life and we have a big yard. I just can’t imagine keeping them cooped up in the summer when there is beautiful weather and they so enjoy being outside with me while I’m gardening or just sitting on the porch. Our kitties always stay on our patio above the street and in the yard or walk on the top of our rockeries. They don’t even go down to the sidewalk. But our feral guy has never lost his wanderlust and he’s more inclined to take off. I think he’s very familiar with his old cattle trails. Still, that’s not very far at all.

    Thanks, Mary Hatch!

    Thank you, everyone!

  11. In point of fact, Brezhnyev wasnt calling the shots at the end; it was KGB head Yuri Andropov who was much more aggressive guy. It was Yuri who gave the go ahead to invade Afghanistan

So for a few years, we were in a heightened state of tension with the USSR. Then Yuri’s health deteriorated and was replaced by a toad named Chernenko, who was Biden his time till he died
