Bill O’Reilly picks up some part-time work

  1. Disappointed. From the headline, I was hoping “picks up some work” involved dusting, some light typing and filing, and maybe copier ink refills. Maybe some local Uber.
I didn’t watch, but don’t like the Leftist Murdoch boys firing him.
OReilly must have a much bigger following than Cryin’ Beck. Maybe BOR will buy the channel and take over.

  2. One self imploded because he could not stop behavior that gave rise to sexual harassment cases and the other imploded because he went crazy-8-bonkers. I can’t see how this is a winning combination.

  3. Which is bigger?
    – Benefit to Beck
    – Detriment to O’Reilly

    Answer: Detriment to O’Reilly.
O’Reilly still has some gravitas: The highest ranking anchor in cable news for twenty years.
Now he becomes the part-time guest on that crazy Never Trumper Beck’s flagging network.
His visits will do not a thing to help Beck’s credibility or stature in the industry.
More damage to O’Reilly than benefit to Beck.

  4. If Fox continues to sink lower in the West, I’m betting O’Reilly is asked to come home, all is forgiven.

I am truly enjoying watching Rupert’s boys fly the family business straight into the ground.
But I’m reasonably confident Rupert won’t let it go up in smoke. I keep running out of popcorn…..

  5. Not too far fetched – O’Reilly and Beck toured together for speaking engagements.

No one is busting down the door with offers for O’Reilly and he hates being out of the spotlight. Where else can he go that reaches millions of listeners / viewers with a slightly right of center perspective? How many non-Fox and Fox Business shows exist catering to conservatives? Even Levin’s effort is not as expansive as the media organization created by Beck.

‘Tis a sad state of affairs when the most independent, somewhat conservative media organization is only Beck.
