Blaze: A billionaire heir to the Porsche automotive fortune has filed for divorce from his wife after her “dementia-like illness” made living with her difficult.
Wolfgang Porsche, a 79-year-old executive of the German car company which bears his family’s name, has filed for divorce from his second wife, Claudia Porsche. Porsche and Claudia began dating in 2007 but did not marry until 2019. Two years later, Claudia, 74, was diagnosed with a “dementia-like illness” which has altered her behavior considerably.
Porsche claimed Claudia is now “impossible” to live with, according to some reports. However, many of those same reports indicate that Claudia has been living near her daughter, who is almost certainly from a previous relationship. Though the location of Claudia’s daughter’s residence is unknown, the reports suggest that it may be a distance from Porsche‘s residence in Zell am See, Austria.
Those reports also indicate that Claudia’s mobility is severely limited and that her mental faculties have been in steep decline since she developed the disease. She currently receives 24-hour care and has four different caretakers. more

OTOH:Michael Schumacher’s wife, Corinna, has lived “like a prisoner” for the last decade while keeping his condition private, according to family friend, Eddie Jordan.
Schumacher, a Ferrari racing legend, has not been seen publicly since he suffered a severe brain injury during a skiing accident in Switzerland in 2013 — and his family has kept his recovery extremely private.

I failed to get my point made in my previous post. Corinna Schumacher and a team of doctors and assistants have cared for Michael at home 24/7/365. She wants him to experience his family as best he can and his children to be with their dad as much as possible. Love.

when my wife developed dementia, I becamme a LNA, then a LPN, and then a RN, so she could stay at home and we could be together as we went through that. Together, as partners. I helped as much as I could.

He has just taught everyone around him what he thinks is appropriate treatment when it’s his time of need.
I had a patient who was a retired nurse, she had cancer. Husband was a self important prick who was more interested in telling stories of his time valeting for Bobby Kennedy and showing me his shadow boxes of medals from his Navy days. Always elegantly attired, pants ironed to creases while his adult children were haggard,sleep deprived, still working full time and pulling 12 hour alternating shifts with each other. He did them a favor by having their mothers best friend move in so they could do rotating 8 hour shifts.
Three days after my patient passed, he ran off to Europe with her best friend. Apparently it had been going on since before she became sick. They skipped her funeral, didn’t tell the kids until 4 weeks later what was going on. Kids had filed Missing Persons reports. Best Friend called the kids and said come get your daddy, we are in Italy, he’s had a massive stroke and I didn’t sign up for this.
Kids brought him home, put him in a skilled nursing facility on hospice until he died. I’m guessing his hospital gowns were not ironed and his shadow boxes of medals went in the trash.
