Was in retail for a long time right up until all the stores started having black friday on thursday. The lines were long then but it was never out of control like you see on the news. Opened at 4:30am for mandatory 12 hour shifts and even though there were a lot of people it was pretty calm. After 7:30am it was chaos. Elbow your way to get through the crowd.

Stop buying crap that you don’t need, and that you can buy cheaper on the internet ALL YEAR ROUND!

Honestly, retail and customer service are 2 of the worst jobs, IMO. Customer service is particularly hard because when you get Barney (In India) or Marcy (in Malaysia) and they frustrate you to the point where you have to search for an American customer service person in the states, that person gets screamed at from frustration.
Don’t shop anymore. Bought a bunch of grocery cards and order ahead and pick-up in parking lot — internet it when I can — and have tuned down my consumer needs (as a 65 year old disabled man my only needs are actually my pills and my few preferable food groups which my family or grocery lot pick-up can provide).
Besides kindle shopping is berry berry good for me.

I can get most of what I wanted to buy during the internet black friday sales so no need to go to the crazy stores thankfully.
As for anything else I would have to go IN store for, I’m sure that there is enough time between now and christmas for another sale, ONLINE. 😉
