A Boston grand jury has indicted a former U.S. Postal inspector for stealing more than $330,000 from the mail — most of it from senior citizens he was supposed to protect from mail fraud.
Scott Kelley, 51, of Massachusetts, was charged in a 45-count indictment connected to taking the money from packages mailed by victims and using that cash for escorts, cruise vacations, and home improvements, according to a statement Friday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

During the lockdown I had a lot of mail not getting delivered and many bills went unpaid. It was a major hassle. The postal clerk said nothing could be done.

In the recent past, several black postal workers in Beaumont, Texas were busted by the FBI for stealing over two million dollars worth of cash, checks, gold/silver and merchandise from the US mail system. Much of it was stolen from registered mail packages. That’s very hard to do. It was a daring and intricate theft ring that went on for an extended period of time. They were convicted and are serving federal prison sentences. Funny how those people aren’t supposed to be smart enough to acquire photo IDs for voting but can carry out complicated theft.
…Ive looked at many sources now, I know what his house looks like, what his pool looks like, even what his bar looks like…but I dont know what HE looks like.

I once had to sit in a federal courtroom for sentencing day (I was observing for a school project). The parade of black postal workers being sentenced for crimes they committed on the job was incredible.
I once sent a priority mail package going 40 miles that was supposed to be delivered in 3 days. It took over 3 WEEKS to get there. 40 Miles!
He looks like Lindsey Graham. Good luck with that in jail.
