The boy saw a hunting trip being organized on Facebook for Chester. So he wrote to the man to ask if he could come because he didn’t have a father and his mother is often very sick with a bad heart.
The man soon realized that the boy was in Chester, Pennsylvania. He was the sheriff in Chester, South Carolina.
The man didn’t disappoint the child. He said, if you can get down here you’re in. The kid made it there, and “Big A” showed “Little A” the time of his life.

People are like that in South Carolina.
What a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing it. 🙂
Nice.
Maybe it’ll make his mommy’s spirits lift up. *Sigh*
wow. it’s dusty in here.
Who’s cutting onions?
“Big A ” is a BIG MAN. in many ways. Great story Bad Brad
It softens the heartbreak I felt when I heard that Harry Reid fell and broke his fucking ribs.
Crying, and not from onions.
After my dad died when I was little, and my mom didn’t drive, and was barely making it financially, my uncle stuffed my mom, sister and me into his car along with his whole family and took us on his family’s vacation.
I’m well over the hill, and I still remember that awesome vacation and him.
Wonderful, sweet story. It makes living in this warp world a lot easier. Great example of this scripture, 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 NIV.
Nice to see cops featured in these kind of stories, rather than the usual police brutality reports..
Wonderful. Thank you.
Great story. That lad will never forget this.
I am so glad I got to do these things with my Dad before he passed away.
RIP, Dad.

So beautiful. Thanks, Bad “softee” Brad.
Demonstrators bused in from Ferguson, have gathered in SC holding signs demanding the sheriff shoot the boy because white lives don’ matter.
Sheriff “Big A” appears to be a man of character. He made “Little A’s” day and possibly, his life for the future. He has been put in a position to grow up really fast.
Not a coincidence those two would meet. God definitely was involved.
Sheriff Alex Underwood seems to be an outstanding person in general. He’s seen in the following vid, working to get support for the people of his county and personnel;

Great story to start the New Year off! I love stories like this, they are so far and few to hear about. It made the boy happy and the sheriff was happy too.
We need more stories like this! Thanks for posting!
That’s what I call interdepartmental cooperation. Two great sheriffs.
That is an awesome story, Big A looks like he knows how to show a young man a good time!
Great story
When little Alex said “You spending that much on me?” it broke my heart. Think what his life must be like to say that. And compare it to the spoiled little brats who expect everything.

I never pick up a fishing rod without thinking about mine.
But the progressive media has told me that the police are on a killing rampage. You mean that’s not true?
That is a great, great story, Brad. I hope the kid bags a 12 point buck.
