Brennan tells Gowdy: ‘I Don’t Know’ If There Was Collusion [VIDEO]

DC: Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) grilled ex-CIA Chief John Brennan on evidence of U.S.-Russia collusion, forcing Brennan to admit he doesn’t actually know if there was any collusion.

Brennan was testifying in front of the House Intelligence Committee Tuesday about connections between the U.S. and Russia.

Gowdy asked Brennan if he had seen any evidence of collusion, coordination or conspiracy between Donald Trump and Russian actors.

Brennan responded that he had seen information about contacts between Russian and U.S. actors that led him to believe the matter should be investigated further by the FBI, but declined to say whether or not he saw direct links between Trump and Russia.

“That doesn’t help us a whole lot,” Gowdy snarked.

  1. @Ibid. BINGO!
If the ‘actors’ had been republicans they would have been named.

If they had been Trump related, even his household mice, the Liberal Inquisition would be circle dancing, in their white robes and pointy hats.

  2. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but after all the effort the left and the swamp have put into this witch hunt it’s starting to be a pretty darn good indicator.

  3. Any shelter, any subterfuge, any lie … just so long as the narrative continues.

Brennan is claiming ignorance. Profound ignorance. But couching it in such a way as to sow confusion and doubt.

“Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don’t know we don’t know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.”

  4. Circa today published a bombshell that everyone but Drudge is ignoring: Obama had been illegally surveilling Americans since 2011 and was taken to task by both the FISA court and IG (although nothing will ever come of it).

In short, if a name came up in any way – say, idle conversation “Do you think Donald Trump will run?” they used that as an excuse to unmask the American and start spying.

What the article doesn’t say but I’m speculating about: this is about the time DOJ illegally asked for and got millions of names of individuals who donated to Tea Party organizations. Were these for Obama spying use, also? How many Americans in total were being spied on? Political opponents for sure but how about everyday Americans?

Will we ever know the true extent of the police state Obama oversaw? Will anyone ever be punished for gross Constitutional violations?

  5. What powers old and ugly Sir Hillary has. She lost the election but was able to get a special prosecutor assigned, by the Republicans no less, to do an endless investigation of Trump and unicorn farts!

  6. Tie Brennan to a chair.
    Propane torch and pliers.
    Ask him nice.
    “Any evidence? Yes or no.”

Apply the torch and pliers for 72 hours (or so).
    Ask again, nice.

Repeat until North America runs out of propane or Brennan runs out of skin.

    Bring in HRC.
Same procedure (‘cept not so nice).

  7. Question for the day: Which of the three named men below should never have been given a security clearance and been trusted to faithfully serve the people of the United States of America?

    (3) Comey
    (4) All three
