I could understand a father granting the wishes of a daughter on her wedding day. But grab the other dad by the ear, not the hand, and slap that son of a bitch down if he starts sobbing like a woman. The groom has to look at that wedding photo album too, and he will never live down a picture like that, if he’s a man.
Oh, c’mon you guys! If a man can’t cry at his own daughter’s (or step-daughter’s) wedding, when is it okay to cry? I can imagine any step-parent, man or woman, feeling pretty joyful (to the point of tears) to be so honored in this way. Step-parents do a lot of the heavy lifting, often in the face of mere tolerance by their step-children.
^^^^^ What Ab said.
Considering the contentions possible following divorce and remarriage (I know this first hand), I applaud the father’s selflessness in actively demonstrating a peaceful approach to his daughter and their family.
I get along great with my kids’ stepdad. Even better is the fact that I have zero contact with their mother!!!!
There are three times a man can cry.
1. At birth after the doc slaps your rear end.
2. At the end of Old Yeller.
3. Getting little man caught in your zipper.
When my first born left the nest, my wife was a bit upset that I wasn’t crying when she drove off. I told her “You can cry when they leave home, I’ll cry when they come back”.
Come on guys. This is a local story here. He has been on the morning news shows, etc. Like a lot of divorced couples, was not a good relationship in the beginning. The step dad has been great to this girl, and the father not only knows it, but has expressed it. He did this not only for her, but to show respect for the stepdad.
One of the classiest moves I have ever seen. This guy put his daughter above all else and didn’t care who got the credit. Fantastic.
irony — Completely agree! And perhaps the father had a fit of conscience and gave credit where credit is due.
Is that her real father and stepfather? Are they a couple? I’m confused. Need rest of picture.
That looks REALLY gay. Just sayen
Beta fags, don’t let them have guns, case closed.
