Brief thoughts about thinking

Eugyppius:A Plague Chronicle-

Most people are wrong about most things. This is especially true of the people who are brought to your attention by newspapers and television. It doesn’t matter how smart they are, or how well-read, or how thoroughly educated. There aren’t very many fields of endeavour where you can get ahead on the sheer strength of being right. Our expert classes succeed instead by cultivating the correct allies, publishing the right papers in the right journals, working on the right problems, winning the right grant funding, and making the right friends. People who enjoy these trivialities are precisely the people for whom being right is not a priority.

Above all, experts prefer to work within and propagate safe, consensus positions. This is because they have primarily careerist goals, which are best pursued secure from the criticism of colleagues. Being wrong is not nearly so important as seeming wrong, which can cost you promotion. Once you realise that experts are little more than consensus-establishing and -propagating professionals, statements about what the science says or what the literature shows acquire a totally new meaning. read more h/t Uncle Al.

  1. In other words, we’re a kakistocracy, run by consensus driven morons who couldn’t care less about what is true and factual. That is why 50 years ago, we put a MEN on the moon, and now, we have to hitch rides in space from Russia who don’t want to share the ISS space station with Americans because some stupid affirmative action hire US assholenaut “woman of color” lost her shit and drilled holes in the station into space. And another dumb cunt NASA hire murdered a love interest of the guy she used to cheat on her husband with.

Our CDC went from being a “medical authority” to being medical authoritarians, turning our entire nation into muzzled, shut-in lab rats.

    Fuck all these people.

  2. MY OWN RESEARCH FINDS THAT MASKS WERE NEVER NEEDED AND REMOVAL DOES NOT DESERVE APPLAUSE

MY OWN RESEARCH ALSO FINDS THAT GAS DROPPING TO $5.50/GAL IS FROM THE SAME “LET THEM EAT CAKE” ELITE ASSHOLES WHO NEED TO BE DRAWN AND QUARTERED

  3. I’m glad I did my career in telephony. Switch logic is switch logic (with some minor fuck-ups along the way), and voltage, ohms, milliamperes, time domain reflectometry, and the redoubtable Wheatstone Bridge.

The BSPs and the NSRM were hundreds upon hundreds of years of facts. Irrefutable fucking facts.

  4. I used to believe that integrity and loyalty mattered. Then I was stabbed in the back, just like Caesar, from all sides. When it is your time, you’ll see it coming.
Ladder climbers are dangerous people. They are cold hearted bastards. Even someone you thought was a good friend can turn into Judas Iscariot. Watch your back.

  5. Not sure where they were going with the foundation of the house thing. I work in an extreme X’s and O’s environment.Sometimes it gets a little grey and Plausible Deniability is your friend. Anyway, kids now a days are taught to guide their lives by their feelings. I had two boys start in with negotiations on probably chore payments with the words, “I just feel that”. Hold the phone sparky, nobody gives a rats ass on what you feel. What do you know? And can you document it? They’re both pretty good problem solvers today. I over hear those words, “I just feel” countless times at the gym from young people. They’ve been brainwashed by public schools.

  6. Hmmm. This is probably the best place to drop this excellent information for anyone who wants to really know “What in the World is Going On?”

Anyone else here familiar with Amir Tsarfati? He’s a messianic Jew who has the YT channel “Behold Israel” and is the most current reporter of what is going on in the world. This video I’m linking is an incredible reminder to us exactly what is going on.
