  1. At my sister’s wedding one of the guests brought a trunk load of cabbages.
It seems a semi truck hauling cabbages had overturned, strewing thousands of them along the road.
Passing motorists soon cleared the mess, because Free cabbage for everybody!
Luckily it was not a load of tomatoes or eggs or live fish or poultry or cattle on the hoof…
Anyway I assume plenty of cole slaw was prepared in the days following the incident.

  2. That is why I give large trucks a lot of leeway especially on windy narrow 2 lane roads when I’m driving. I’ve seen too many overturned semis because the driver was going too fast for the road conditions. If I get a large truck and especially chip trucks and log trucks behind me on narrow windy roads I’ll find the first turnout and let them pass me. It’s called survival of the fittest, they’re a hell of a lot bigger than I am and can be quite intimidating. It makes me think of the movie Duel when I get one of these jerks who drives like a bat outta hell behind me.

  3. Anybody remember the old commercial: “More pork sausages, Mom!”

Remember: “A sausage a day keeps the religion of peace at bay.”
