Businesses leaving downtown Portland over ‘lawlessness’: report

FOX: The months of protests and riots in Portland have prompted some businesses in the city to opt to move out completely or relocate outside its central district, according to a report on Monday.

Greg Goodman, the co-president of the Downtown Development Group, said in a letter to Mayor Ted Wheeler and members of the Portland City Council that the exodus of companies wasn’t related to the Black Lives Matter movement “but does have most everything to do with the lawlessness you are endorsing downtown.”

“The number is like nothing I have seen in 42 years of doing business in downtown,” he wrote, according to Portland’s KOIN. more

  1. “I vehemently oppose what the Proud Boys and those associated with them stand for, and I will not tolerate hate speech and the damage it does in our city. White nationalists, particularly those coming to our city armed, threaten the safety of Portlanders, and are not welcome here,” Wheeler said. “We are at a critical place where police officers are needed to intervene in protests where police officers themselves are the flashpoint.”

…yeeeah, White Nationalism’s the whole problem here, THOSE guys are destroying all the Democrat cities, so let’s get Whitey and protect those poor helpless Black chirrun who are only fighting for their rights and those sweet Antifa fellows who only want to help them with the pain of racism against the millions of Proud Boys we KNOW inhabit ALL the Democrat controlled areas that are doing all the looting and burning and throwing crap at Police officers…/s

  2. I know one thing for sure… I will NEVER vote democrat again, no matter how good the candidate may be, all because of what they represent and have attempted to do to America! I’ve seen what their platform represents for years, but now the burning of cities, the looting and violence that all that goes with it is hammering that point home to millions across the country! This is a stain on the democRAT party that should last for decades! We can’t have a single party system, but by the same token we simply cannot have these democRATs!!

  3. Hey, Nero let Rome burn down while he goofed off and
look at how popular he was! We still remember his name
2,000 years after his Praetorian Guards stabbed him to death.
Who says the D’rats don’t learn from history?

  4. It’s a deliberate Demonrat plan to kill our port cities.

The Chicoms deliberately spread a bio weapon world wide as part of an agreement with the global cabal.

The Chicoms and deep state have been working together since Nixon visited China. It’s all part of the plan.

  5. Cisco – I’m not going to argue with your statement (cuz yer right), but it’s a lot more than just the port cities! This is a coordinated democRAT effort to destroy America, Capitalism and drive the good people out of once healthy cities to solidify a voter/power base of worthless, dumbed-down, barely aware, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed, Kool-Aid drinking, entitlement rich, government-dependent, busted-ass, free-loading Lofos!
Here’s yer list of democRAT run-down, burned out, rat-infested, feces-friendly, bum-piss soaked, riot-strewn cities and their democRAT masters:

  6. I am really surprised to see Phoenix on the list above. My sister and I did a bucket list of the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Arizona and New Mexico in February, before all this “nonsense” started. I had worked in Phoenix on a project back in 1980 and was amazed at how large and prosperous the city had become. Back in 1980, the airport was one terminal out in the desert. By 2020, it had 3 terminals and was “inner-city”. Perhaps because Phoenix is surrounded by Republicans, the city has not fallen down the rabbit hole yet.

No surprise here, Governor Douchebag and the Mayor of Phoenix are both disasters. This from the state that gave us McCain, Flake and now McSally.

Tucson has been run by Democrats for over 60 years, our Mayor Regina Romero is a raving lunatic and the list goes on. Better recheck that bucket list. 🙄
