A New Jersey businessman charged along with Sen. Bob Menendez (D., N.J.) on Friday pleaded guilty in Manhattan federal court to attempting to bribe the lawmaker, agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors in the case.
Jose Uribe, who prosecutors alleged gave Menendez’s wife, Nadine, a luxury car, entered the plea to seven charges, including conspiracy to commit bribery, honest services wire fraud, and tax evasion, the Associated Press reported. more

If the DOJ and FBI want to prosecute a person, they have hundreds of ways, first put you and your family in financial straits, then offer you a “deal” to testify to what they want and then their alleged unlawful activity, your manufactured crime disappears or you spend a minimum in a federal minimum security facility (not prison, more like a Fed Country Club).
As with Menendez, the feds will establish a new grand jury and keep trying until they finally cut a deal with those who “attempt” to bribe the lawmaker. Attempt, with no intent, is difficult to prove. But, at that stage your defense finances are gone.
If the government wants you (J6) you will be indicted and prosecuted and the DOJ will help the FBI every step of the way.
