America’s 1st freedom : Republican California Assemblywoman Shannon Grove had some very frank counsel for her colleagues across the aisle: “I would rather have a loaded Glock in my hand than 911 on the phone.” Grove made her remarks on Monday alongside fellow Republican legislators on the state capitol steps in Sacramento, as part of a Second Amendment Freedom rally. She’s out numbered and the fix is in. We’re just waiting to see what Jerry Brown does now. He’s vetoed similar legislation in the past. I think he’ll sign it this time.
Testing…
Venezuela wisely disarmed it’s citizens.
She is so right! When seconds count, the police are minutes away.
Spent some quality time with a Glock 19 recently.
Glocks are a thing of beauty. I didn’t like the looks at first, but they go ‘bang’ every time you pull the trigger. Hard to match the reliability with a traditional 1911 type.
I use a revolver for the same reason.
They go bang every time
.357 magnum
and this is why we need glocks, 1911s, revolvers, ARs, shotguns, etc.

sorry can’t remember how to just show the linky
Why not a Glock in one hand and a 1911 in the other?
Glocks are the number one weapon for AD’s by far. It’s true. Not trying to knock them. If you own one you know why. Be Careful.
call 911 AFTER 1911
Brad is correct. The name Glock is synonymous with the term “accidental discharge”.
Great, reliable firearms as long as you don’t carry one with a round in the chamber and maintain muzzle discipline at all times.
I also own a revolver for all the same reasons mentioned.
They do go bang every time..
My Smith & Wesson can reach out and nail the burglar hiding behind my next door neighbor’s refrigerator. I also send out the very best – hollow points.
.460 Magnum XVR
So I got a little clue for you wheel gun guys. Sig. That way you can stay in the fight with out getting killed.
I had the Sig P226 from W. Germany.. I had a Colt 70 series 1911, several Rugars, Berettas (92’s and 96’s), I really liked the Ruger P345 with exception to the slide and D/A.. I use a Beretta Neos as a plinker, even have the carbine attachments for it. I hated the Springfield XD-40 and the FN .40.. also enjoy my Ruger Vaquero Bisley ‘cowboy gun’.. and the S&W 686 and 629.. had about a dozen hand guns and several rifles including 2 AR-15’s I built from parts, a carbine and a 20″ bull barrel, and assembled an AR-10 in .308
Ricky. And?
…and the best of the bunch is the third generation S&W auto. I favor DAO for concealed carry, but they’re a bit hard to find.
But, to me, the first rule of pistols is: it’s worthless if you don’t have it with you. The second rule is: it’s worse than useless if you can’t hit what you’re aiming at.
A .22 short derringer in the hand beats a 500 mag in the safe. (No, I’m not advocating .22 derringers…)
Bad_Brad, With his use of past tense, i’m thinking he got too emotional to finish telling us about his horrible canoe accident.
Mine is in my night stand. I can find it with my eyes closed.
I bet that pisses you off b.o. doesn’t it? And yes, I’ll cling to it, to try and keep your type tamped down.
All you need is love …
and a full complement of SS killers guarding you …
