KFI- Los Angeles Police are warning consumers about the dangers of using counterfeit cosmetics and urged the public to use common sense when purchasing items on the street after a recent raid on stores in downtown L.A. found shops selling lipstick, eye-shadow and mascara that had been tainted with bacteria and animal feces.

Rat droppings are an unusual filler material for cosmetics. In that area its usually restricted to items on the menu of portable food stands.
I’m guessing they’re hoping thet if they don’t say anything, we’ll just assume it’s more than is legally allowed in professionally regulated supply?
I’m betting this junk is made in China. They used to send us poisoned pet food.

A truth in life, when the price is too good to be true the product is not real/genuine. Use at your own risk. Amazon, Overstock.com etc. also sell counterfeit high end skin care and cosmetic products. No one really knows what is in them. I wouldn’t doubt the ingredients would be just as disgusting and dangerous.
Maybe the counterfeits are being handmade by the homeless in San Francisco?
This is what happens when brand labels are the most important things in your life. LOL. I have one thing I have to buy from a brand name, simply because I have not found a comparable color/texture anywhere else. It costs me 40 bucks about twice a year, but for now, it’s worth it. And I buy it at their store, not in some gray gloomy alley full of roll up warehouse shops.

I’ve been to the fashion district and ‘el calle’. It’s gross and smelly and most of the clothing there is made from some kind of weird stretchy lycra. lol. I don’t even trust the gold in the Chinese wholesale stores. 😀
