CA: Newsom Less Than 100k Signatures Away from Facing Recall Election

Tennessee Star: Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom is less than 100,000 signatures away as of Thursday from being forced into a recall special election.

California state law stipulates that a sitting governor must face a recall special election if 12% of voters from the previous gubernatorial election, in this case 1.5 million California residents, sign a petition to recall the governor.   2. I signed several of them, but I’m NOT a CA resident. I’ve never even set foot in the PST ANYWHERE, for that matter.

    Thankfully, technicalities like THAT don’t matter in elections anymore!

  3. We still lived in CA for the Gray Davis recall and subsequent election of The Governator; which proved to be more of the same – a gutless house of cards that crashed into submission. Be wary California.

  4. I assume they will let illegals sign the petition? And I hope they are “signature harvesting” in all the nursing homes? I will be driving down from Oregon to sign the petition too (since it’s ok for voting, I should think they would have no problem with an out-of-stater signing).
