CA now has the highest gas prices in the nation

KFI – – – Back in April, George Runner predicted that California would have the highest gas prices in the country as a result of the gas tax hike.

Runner was dead on.

The state’s gas prices have topped Hawaii’s since the tax went into effect. As of November 6, 2017, the average price per gallon was $3.21.

We’re getting screwed in this state! George Runner talked with us today about his prediction coming true, and what’s next for Californians and this nasty gas tax.   <— Listen to the audio.

  1. Listening to that interview just made my head spin. The solutions the regressives had for getting people to work, everybody take the train, the business can send a van to pick them up. When told its totally impracticable, the lib says then the workers can take Uber to work.

They are 100% right, its all about forcing people into a lifestyle the regressives want for the masses. Not for themselves of course, they get to keep their cars and limos and whatever.

  2. Having California elect impractical liberal nutcases who impose their wacky philosophies on the illiterate masses is in some ways like watching a family member with a drinking problem slowly kill themselves one bottle at a time.

  3. Pulled the 5th wheel through CA last week not only were the diesel prices $1.00 higher than either Oregon or Nevada, but I-5 is in horrible shape. All that money going to welfare, illegals and homeless, leaves nothing left for infrastructure. CA rapidly heading to third-world status.

  4. And they are talking about another 70 cents next year.

If Elon Musk’s Hyperloop is gonna take us from L.A. to Frisco in an hour, why do we still need the train??? They are still working on the first leg, from nowhere in the middle of CA to nowhere in the middle of CA.

It’s been that way for long time. There’s no guarantee this ADDITIONAL TAX is not going into the General Fund. Our rulers can spend it anyway they see fit. Like rescuing pension plans.
I’m paying $3.69 for diesel and have seen it as high as $3.99.

  6. Brad: $2.78 when I left OR and 2.89 in Las Vegas. My point was CA let’s the roads go to shit, convinces the populous that a tax increase will fix the roads, then they will steal the money for “emergency” social programs.

  7. The High Speed Rail is such a bargain, it only costs $1 BILLION dollars a mile. There is the probably no guess on when, or if, the state ever reaches the break even point. The year 2800? later?
