KFI – – – Back in April, George Runner predicted that California would have the highest gas prices in the country as a result of the gas tax hike.
Runner was dead on.
The state’s gas prices have topped Hawaii’s since the tax went into effect. As of November 6, 2017, the average price per gallon was $3.21.
We’re getting screwed in this state! George Runner talked with us today about his prediction coming true, and what’s next for Californians and this nasty gas tax. <— Listen to the audio.
While governor moonbeam continues to pour money into his frivolous high speed railway. The guy hold should be hung!

When oil doubles back to 100/barrel (you know it will, it’s a matter of when), CA looking at $6/gal. How awesome is that?
More for the rest of us!
Pay a ridiculous price for gas, just to sit in traffic and be flipped off by other drivers. Life is good in New-est Mexico.
Listening to that interview just made my head spin. The solutions the regressives had for getting people to work, everybody take the train, the business can send a van to pick them up. When told its totally impracticable, the lib says then the workers can take Uber to work.
They are 100% right, its all about forcing people into a lifestyle the regressives want for the masses. Not for themselves of course, they get to keep their cars and limos and whatever.
Having California elect impractical liberal nutcases who impose their wacky philosophies on the illiterate masses is in some ways like watching a family member with a drinking problem slowly kill themselves one bottle at a time.
Gas Jerry Brown.
Hey, Bad Brad – want me to sign you up for one of those Burning Man bikes?
🙂
Other than politicians, is there anyone in California that wants that fricken train?
Pulled the 5th wheel through CA last week not only were the diesel prices $1.00 higher than either Oregon or Nevada, but I-5 is in horrible shape. All that money going to welfare, illegals and homeless, leaves nothing left for infrastructure. CA rapidly heading to third-world status.
I’m so glad that I can drive my golf cart to work… SC $1.02 for regular last week.
And they are talking about another 70 cents next year.
If Elon Musk’s Hyperloop is gonna take us from L.A. to Frisco in an hour, why do we still need the train??? They are still working on the first leg, from nowhere in the middle of CA to nowhere in the middle of CA.
And that doesn’t take into account the number and cost of fines they pay for expelling fart gas!
“Pulled the 5th wheel through CA last week not only were the diesel prices $1.00 higher than either Oregon or Nevada, but I-5 is in horrible shape.”
It’s been that way for long time. There’s no guarantee this ADDITIONAL TAX is not going into the General Fund. Our rulers can spend it anyway they see fit. Like rescuing pension plans.
I’m paying $3.69 for diesel and have seen it as high as $3.99.
Vietvet
LOL, Yes, I think I’m going to need one.
Brad: $2.78 when I left OR and 2.89 in Las Vegas. My point was CA let’s the roads go to shit, convinces the populous that a tax increase will fix the roads, then they will steal the money for “emergency” social programs.
The High Speed Rail is such a bargain, it only costs $1 BILLION dollars a mile. There is the probably no guess on when, or if, the state ever reaches the break even point. The year 2800? later?
Still better than what we pay. As of today, $1.20/liter, or $4.54/gal
And that is the low. On average, we pay $1.30/liter. Six months ago, it was $1.45/liter

Have to pay for that free health care someway, eh!
Wow! Where in Canada are you?
As lil’ chirrens we used to laugh at TV Evangelists who’d tell viewers to donate until it hurt. Then double it. Any chance Jerry Brown-Shorts used to be a big haired Jesus TV star?
According to Gasbuddy, gas prices in Alaska are one cent higher than California’s. http://www.gasbuddy.com/USA
Jerry Brown believes that people were created to serve the government and to supply its needs and wants in perpetuity.
