Cable Worker Stranded In Bucket By Angry Customer

KFI: A New Jersey woman took out her frustrations with the cable company on a utility worker who was doing work on the cable lines in her neighborhood. Police say that 59-year-old Elena Gerlihman got into an argument with the Optimum worker and proceeded to turn off the power to his utility bucket, leaving him stranded in mid-air. She then “removed utility property from the truck and walked away.”  more

  1. Doc, in our ’63 we had “dead man” valves at the bottom, not the top.

Or, if we did have “top” valves, they didn’t work.

When the Onan died, and there was no “helper”, you were just stuck.

  2. I had on old C60 with a 34′ lift (short I know). Had a starter switch for the Onan in the bucket, but my Onan was not the most reliable. Had to shimmy down a couple of times and use the “dead-man” it the bottom to lower it.
