DC: A California Democrat running for the San Francisco district attorney seat admitted during a Fox News interview Monday that the state needs to focus more of its resources on its middle class.
Fox News host and The Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson asked Joe Alioto Veronese, a civil rights attorney, if he thinks the middle class is leaving California because they are being ignored in favor of illegal immigrants.
“We are spending more and more money, just by way of example here in California, our city budget used to be $3 billion not, you know, 15 years ago, and now it’s $10 billion,” Alioto Veronese conceded. “And now you have people running for mayor that want to add, you know, billion dollar bonds.”
“There’s no question it’s getting more expensive, some of the liberal policies are very expensive,” he continued. more
I wish government would stop trying to ‘take care’ of us!!!
Leave charity to charitable organizations. Just run your damn government on a minimal basis.
This is how low the bar is for Dems, they admit their failed policies are expensive and we applaud their honesty? Come on Tucker, bury the guy. Expose everyone to what these leftists really are about.
LCD
I think it’s all about control. It’s a lot easier to control the middle class if they are on their knees and dependent on the government.
The only people they are taking care of are the political elites. I agree w/LCD, they shouldn’t be taking care of anyone.
Democrats can’t credibly pander to both the middle class and illegal aliens. Mutually exclusive constituencies.
If the government and corporate interests would leave them alone, the middle class would do just fine on their own – no need for “Help”.
He worried that the criminal illegal aliens aren’t taking care like he will like.
