California: Homeless bunker filled with $100K in stolen loot and 3 shotguns found in San Jose

NY Post:
California cops found an elaborate homeless bunker filled with more than $100,000 in stolen goods and guns.

San Jose police on Tuesday shared photos of some of the loot stashed in the underground encampment — including three shotguns and boxes of ammo.

The main bunker had wooden beams, walls and a ceiling, with electrical wires the force said appeared to be “plugged into somebody else’s source.”

It definitely required some construction and engineering skills,” the force said in the comments section to its tweet.

Six suspects were arrested on a variety of charges, police said, without elaborating.

“The stolen tools, equipment, and firearms will be returned to the victims,” the force said, noting that already “approximately $100,000 worth of stolen goods were returned to the owner/victim.” more

  1. Those aren’t the type of shotguns commonly sought by street thugs. Those are some really nice birding guns they must have stolen from some hunters truck.

  2. This has to be fake news… we’ve been told that homeless people aren’t criminals, just people down on their luck, and that most of us are just “one paycheck away from being homeless ourselves “.

BTW, real nice place to build your dream house, school teacher.

  3. Worst thing, in my mind, about people (or homeless vermin) stealing tools… the owner loses the use of them and the scumbag who stole them can’t make use of them either. They get pawned for ten cents on the dollar and resold into the working world for maybe fifty or seventy five cents on the dollar.
