California: L.A. School Board Approves 174% Pay Raise for Members

The L.A. School Board is getting a major pay raise thanks to members of an obscure city commission. On Monday, the Education Compensation Review Committee voted to approve a 174% pay raise that will take effect in 60 days. That means that for board members who don’t have outside employment will now see their pay increase to $125,000 per year from $45,637.

    A buddy of mine is a cop. He retires from LAPD soon with a 90% pension.
    I have no problem with him. He did his fair share.
    But the asshole who approves of this kind of stuff should be tarred and feathered.

  3. Typical Progressive move. if you are unemployed (i.e. otherwise known as a slacker) you get rewarded with 125k, but if you are responsible and gainfully employed you will be paid less than 1/2 that much. Gee, i wonder which one is a harder worker?

  4. On the way home tonight, listening to the local talk radio show, their news was reporting a huge short fall in tax revenue. It was the cooperate returns. Down 27%. No shit. They all left Jerry. That’s gotta be a huge number. More fun with the budget in the coming weeks.
