California governor Gavin Newsom proposed a $292 billion state budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, driving economists to wonder why he plans only $8.5 billion in real spending cuts against what the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office says is a projected $68 billion deficit.

  2. Hey Newsom, where’s the $32 BILLION in fraudulent payments you dished out during the pandemic? Even bother prosecuting, or did all that money go to your friends? No matter, folks, California has new taxes coming in 2024: raise in income tax (14.4%), Wealth tax (1.5%), gun & ammo tax (11%). That should definitely for sure plug the deficit hole, but oh no, don’t forget about those upcoming reparation payments.
