California Ranks #1 For Highest Gas Prices in Nation

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline rose six cents over the past week to hit $3.38, according to AAA. California has the highest average cost for regular grade gas at $4.54 a gallon, $4.745 for mid-grade unleaded, $4.871 for premium unleaded, and $4.684 for diesel. more at CAglobal

  1. I am paying nearly that in Colorado. I thought prices here were supposed to be midrange. Ugh.
    Not only does CA have the highest taxes on gas, it also has requirements beyond those of other states. And restricts construction of new refineries.

  2. Here in southern Oregon, at some stations, it’s over 4 bucks a gallon for regular and diesel. But that’s because there are so many California transplants here that are used to getting raped at the pump. FJB!

    We still have to wait for ‘service’ because we can’t be trusted to do our own pumping, besides, that’s how the government ‘created’ more jobs.
