  1. I have already tried to find out what will happen if a sheriff refuses to go along with this bs. Have not received an answer yet. Also asked if ICE should come under hostile fire would locals go to help. I was told they would. Riiiightt. By the way we are not all lawless, progressives out here. Over 4,000,000 Trump voters in California.

  2. Wrpspeed

What county are you making the inquiries in? Tehama, El Dorado, and Fresno are saying not going to happen. I would imagine all the counties in what would be Jefferson will tell them to pound salt.

  3. I’ve been to California. I thought it was a pleasant place to visit, but that was years ago and if you’ve seen one beach, you’ve seen them all.
The beach…it’s where water meets dirt.

  4. This is the 2017 version of the 1830’s, and beyond, Nullification Crisis. That one ensued after South Carolina declared that the federal Tariffs of 1828 and 1832 were unconstitutional and therefore null and void within the sovereign boundaries of the state. Not a good move by South

  5. The capital city’s sheriff might be out of a job. He’s going on record calling the law unconstituional:

‘Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones said Monday that he believes pending legislation preventing state and local police agencies from using their resources to assist federal immigration authorities would be invalid because it conflicts with federal law.

“I have a strong belief that it violates federal law,” Jones told reporters at the Capitol, where opponents of Senate Bill 54 by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León gathered to denounce the bill. “And federal law reigns supreme.”

“Every sheriff is going to be in a very difficult position to decide what they personally are going to do should this pass,” he added.

  6. Looks like Trump is backing Jones on this:

‘Why Homan, President Donald Trump’s top immigration enforcer, chose Sacramento to hold his first-ever public meeting is an interesting question. Was it because of our status as a sanctuary city and the capital of California? Or was there something else at play? Was Homan there to help Jones, who previously expressed support for Trump’s presidential campaign, raise his national profile? Was Jones, the failed Republican congressional candidate, angling for a job in the Trump administration? The Sacramento sheriff already had taken a lead role in opposing a controversial state Senate bill that seeks to curtail how much Homan’s office can work with California law enforcement leaders.

  7. All Too Much,
To bad Scott Jones didn’t have the balls to back Trump. He forgets where he lives. Scott Jones lost to Omni Berra because Jones abandoned Trump over the grab em by the pussy remark. Smooth move dick. I dont trust his backbone. If he yells for help his neighbors directly north will show up armed like no other.

  8. Well, we’ll see which Sheriff’s stand by their oaths.

There is nothing in the oath of office that says a Sheriff or any other law enforcement officer is mandated to enforce ‘all laws’. We didn’t take an oath to the penal code. In addition, County Sheriffs are, “Constitutional Officers,” having been elected by their constituents.

“I, [state your name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter.”

Hmmm, no mention of enforcing ‘all laws’, ONLY the constitution and CA Constitution.

Article 3 Section 1, of the CA constitution:
“The State of California is an inseparable part of the United States of America, and the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land.”

If that doesn’t hold true with anyone, they can GoF-Themselves.

  9. BigGun,
Was really hoping you showed up. What do you think your departments going to do? The Oath is to the US constitution. Not Jerry Browns fucked up idea of utopia. LEO to the north is hinting at the big FU. Maybe they should haul some of the LA deputies up here to start arresting people. Love to hear your opinion on all this.

  10. I haven’t seen the official CSSA response to this yet. We’ll have to see what each individual sheriff directs. Too early yet with no bill in place as of yet. I have my opinion, but can’t speak for the 58 Sheriffs.
