A woman accused of killing a man while driving drunk has been returned to U.S. soil after she was located in Mexico, police said Tuesday.
According to Los Angeles Police Detective Nicholas Sinclair, the suspect, identified as Maritza Joana Lara, 27, fled the country shortly after becoming involved in a deadly crash that killed one person and left four other injured in North Hills. Lara jumped on a Greyhound bus two hours after getting into the accident back on June 16. The fatal crash occurred after Lara allegedly ran a red light at Parthenia Street and Haskell Ave, ramming into the side of the Nissan truck being [driven] by 48-year-old Francisco Hernandez Rivas.
“We discovered that she had fled almost immediately after the collision to the downtown Greyhound bus station and obtained a ticket to Calexico,” Sinclair told reporters at a news conference Tuesday morning at the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division. read more
She’s just one of thousands that have done the same, why did they single her out?
I have mixed feelings about this. I’m sure the victim’s loved ones want to see justice, but do the taxpayers have to pay for her trial and incarceration?
President Trump should make a deal with all foreign countres that they pay for their citizen’s trial/incarceration when found guilty of a crime committed in the US.
Claudia, I think it would be better to bring her back and put her in prison. If we did not bring her back, she would come back on her own and get free healthcare and other goodies. Granted, she will get those things anyway, but at least she will be in prison.
Unless Gavin Nuisance pardons her.

Governor Any-Twosome-Newsom should be forced to take her in, buy her a car and pay for her car and health insurance.
I bet she has also served time in her home country for DUI. This is why — it would seem to me — that there are an inordinate number of illegal alien criminals here. Why wouldn’t they just hide out in America to avoid apprehension in Mexico?
And Pelosi, Schumer, and their kind won’t even talk to the Angel Moms and Dads who have lost many loved ones to a drunk Mexican driver.

I totally can’t believe mexifornia is doing this!I know she isn’t the only one who has killed someone and escaped justice by running to mexico. This needs to happen more often!
