California Will Lift Most CONTROLA19 Restrictions, But Will Require Vax ID for Large Events

CTH: The state of California has released the new guidance that will begin on June 15th (no reasoning for date given) that permits returning to almost all non-COVID activities for California residents.
Essentially it appears that most pre-COVID activities are now authorized by the state; however, large venue gatherings indoors and outdoors will require masks by non-vaccinated persons.

Unlike Oregon who is requiring an entry check for non-mask wearing residents to prove their vaccinated status, within the California rules there is an allowed “self attestation” of vaccination compliance: “Businesses and venue operators may also utilize self-attestation at point of registration, during ticket purchase or on the day of the event prior to entry into the venue.more

  1. I won’t be going to any events, never did before this Covid crap began. Been there done that, no one I want to pay to see or hear and I’ll keep my dignity.

  2. “Essentially it appears that most pre-COVID activities are now authorized by the state …. ”

We, especially Californians, are very fortunate to have such kindly and benevolent rulers such as we do, let us all offer our praise to them in gratitude for all they allow us to do.

  3. As you read this, millions of fake Covid vax certificates are being printed nation wide. Who has the time to validate a piece of paper when 80,000 people are waiting in line to enter an arena?

Yeah, that’s gonna be a problem.

Maybe we could start using some kind of subcutaneous marker along with the vaccine when it is administered that can be automatically machine read when people walk by it to replace those slow and cumbersome paper id’s?

Maybe we could even make it a part of the vaccine to make the process highly efficient as well?

  5. The new state policy allows “self-attestation”, take your word for it, for entrance to large events.
Waiting to hear from my local pro soccer club whether it will allow self-attestation or not; it’s not mandatory.
Usually, the club responds fairly fast to my emails; being a charter season ticket holder has some perks.
