Californians have right to ‘state-of-the-art’ handguns, judge rules

JTN: A federal judge has ruled that California’s handgun roster unlawfully restricts the purchase of handguns to a set list of models and had effectively denied residents the use of modern firearms.

“Californians have the constitutional right to acquire and use state-of-the-art handguns to protect themselves,” wrote U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney in a Monday ruling that Breitbart News obtained. “They should not be forced to settle for decade-old models of handguns to ensure that they remain safe inside or outside the home.”

“Because enforcing those requirements implicates the plain text of the Second Amendment, and the government fails to point to any well-established historical analogues that are consistent with them, those requirements are unconstitutional and their enforcement must be preliminarily enjoined,” he continued. more

  1. If you want to purchase a Commander 1911 right now your cheapest choice is a Dan Wesson CBob. Great gun. They’re around $1800.00 out the door. Next is a Night Hawk Custom. They’re about 5K out the door. None of the newer 9 mil 1911 carry guns are available here.

In my opinion, best pistols on the market. Smoothest pistols on the market. I’ve shot a bunch and I own a Para Commander frame Wilson rebuilt with their parts. They eat anything and just keep running. Night Hawk Customs is a couple old Wilson employees that split off to do their own thing. Another quality gun. They just get a little to futuristic for me in some of their designs. I love Wilson Combat.
