Canada: Landlord gets $12,000 fine for wearing shoes in Muslim’s prayer room

Geller Report: Let’s just call this what it is: a sharia fine. This unfortunate man, John Alabi, was given what amounts to a sharia ticket by Ontario’s Orwellian-named “Human Rights Tribunal” for the crime of not following sharia in an apartment that he owned. And now he has lost his appeal before the Divisional Court. This is unbelievable. Why should Alabi, a Christian who came from Canada from Nigeria about 23 years ago, be forced by local governing authorities to kowtow to the religious demands of another faith — Islam? Is the “Human Rights Tribunal” aware of what he came from in Nigeria, and how Muslims are slaughtering Christians there? Would they care if they did know? Probably not.

“MANDEL: Landlord loses bid to overturn human rights tribunal order,” by Michele Mandel, Toronto Sun, November 22, 2018 (thanks to Mark):

Virtually branded a racist, small landlord John Alabi loses at every turn.

The Divisional Court has just refused to overturn the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario decision ordering him to pay an astounding $12,000 for violating the religious rights of his Muslim tenants.

Despite his denials, the tribunal found he harassed the couple by not removing his shoes and failing to accommodate their prayer times when trying to arrange showings for prospective tenants.

Now he’s not only on the hook for the original $12,000 award but because he lost at Divisional Court, the Nigerian-born small landlord must pay their side’s $5,000 in legal costs as well.

Fighting back tears in the halls of Osgoode, Alabi was trying to remain philosophical.  MORE

  1. Why in the world did he rent to a muzzie in the first place? When I was young, living in Alaska, I bought a four-plex. Once I read a handbook called the Renters Bill of Rights, I sold it. I couldn’t imagine dealing with the special rights muzzies are trying to force on us.

  2. Kick those lofo, inbred, useless, lawless, Satan worshipers back to the third world shit holes they came from. Nothing but trouble. Worthless moochers. Like California leftists they bring nothing but problems with them. Get rid of that human garbage.

  3. $12,000 for wearing shoes in a rented “Muslim prayer room” that you own is more punishment than many muslims get for raping girls.

I think I know why history is littered with governments that made a habit out of “disappearing” liberal “intellectuals.” They are fucking insufferable, hell bent on destroying their own societies.

  4. How many people wore shoes in that room previously?

There’s probably boot marks still on the lumber used to build it.

I can understand asking him to remove his shoes because there’s something sacrad that has never been stepped on before. Like a rug, but this is a RENTED room.

    People probably fcuked in there!

    Cut the bullshit!

  5. Questions, anyone??

A session or two ago, the MT Legislature passed a bill by a comfortable, but not veto proof margin forbidding the imposition of sharia law in MT. Our feckless, betraying, libidiot governor Bullock, for all intents and purposes a red diaper baby in origins, vetoed it. His veto was issued with the insane, virtue signaling cry, “That’s NOT who we are!”. FWIW, Bullock fancies himself a viable (d) candidate for President of the USA. Good luck with that, Stevie baby! And, again, “Any questions, Bullock?”.

  6. I’ll tell you how bad the renters bill of rights is in Alaska. A buddy of mine, same time frame, early 80’s, had a minority family that stopped paying rent in September. You couldn’t evict them in the winter. May comes around and he finally gets the deadbeats out, and finds out they had punched holes in the drywall and stuff a winter worth of garbage in his walls! He had a nice building too. He doesn’t do rentals any more either.
