CANADA: Poilievre says he will scrap Trudeau carbon tax when elected prime minister

PM:
Pierre Poilievre announced that, if elected prime minister, he would scrap the Trudeau government’s carbon tax.

The COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical insecurity have caused the price of just about everything to rise, putting a strain on Canadians wallets and wellbeing.

In response, politicians have begun looking at ways to save Canadian families money wherever possible. According to prime ministerial hopeful Pierre Poilievre, the first step in getting things back on track is to abolish the Trudeau Liberals’ carbon tax. more

  1. Right now, he is one of the very few decent politicians left in the country.
He should have supported the truckers MORE & OPENLY but I realize how many conservatives (Toronto) were not Fans of them.
Very Very few were willing to be seen with the Convoy.

Overall, he is an 8 out of 10. Candice is a 7.5.
The rest are all 7 or below in my book.
I’m not impressed with Michelle Remple any longer, and she used to be quite good. I guess she got used to the expense account that is Ottawa.

  2. In regards to Carbon Taxes:

Alberta’s Oil & Gas production has been BOOM-BUST since the 1970’s.
You would expect that since then, they would have built Gasoline Refineries and Added Value to the Oil products By distilling them with their Natural gas, but they have not.

Most of Alberta’s Oil is piped South to the USA, refined, & sent back up to Canuckistan. Our barrel price for that low grade oil has always been well below WTI. (by about $15/barrel aprox or more)

While Pierre is from Calgary Alberta, he currently represents a riding in Ottawa (Carlton).

If he gets the leadership nod, I HOPE he formulates a plan that includes REFINING OIL in Alberta & making the most out of the Resource regardless of weather The Bed-Pisser-In-Chief wakes up & re-opens the Keystone XL Pipeline.

  3. By the way, Where was the Potatoe Yesterday?
Did he spend the whole day recovering from giving that short Garbled SOTU Address by watching Snuffleupagus & Big Bird?

I didn’t see him on any media coverage yesterday.
