Canada: Victims Should Comply With Assailants

Canadian police chief Jim MacSween is now telling citizens that if they are ever faced with a home invasion, they should comply with the assailant, completely opposing proposals for castle laws that would protect citizens who defend themselves.

  1. “Dont engage unless absolutely necessary”, the guy with a gun and a lot of other guys with guns working for him sez.

…well, Mr. Poltroon, as soon as a guy comes in my house univited and with presumedly bad intentions, it becomes ABSOLUTELY necessary, as I am in immediate fear for my life and the lives of my family.

    …and “Safe” rooms?

They had “Safe” rooms on the kibbutz in Israel on 10/10. How’d THAT work out?

NO room is “Safe” against an agressive, unopposed attacker. You cannot win a fight with only defense.

…and as for being in any way “Safe” inside a locked room, interior doors in most homes are quite weak, mostly hollow core structure and with no reinforcement at the lock or striker, and frequently do not have locks at ALL. I used to break down interior doors as part of my job and never met one I couldnt force in seconds, even with stuff behind it.

And if the guy has rudimentary tools like a hammer or hatchet or machete, it gets even EASIER.

…here’s what the door of the “Safe” room youre trying to protect your child in looks like in just a couple of minutes.

    …good luck with that.

You can wait for 911 to save you if you want.

I will be waiting for them too, but only so they can remove the perp’s corpse…

  2. Last year I called those cops about a man in his underwear with no shoes screaming like a lunatic in minus 20C weather.
He was walking towards an occupied DAY CARE – 9222 Keele, vaughan, on.

They said not a priority and 3 hours latter a cop called my cell stating they found no one etc…

WITHIN 200 yards of a Daycare!

  3. I would LOVE to watch him obey his own ruling on “comply” as he’s attacked inside his own house.
As for me, if there’s someone who’s broken into my house, even if I don’t have (access to) a gun, there’s always a good old-fashioned cast iron skillet.
In that “society”, never, ever call the po-po. They’re about as useless as tits on a boar-hog.
That said, once the perp is incapacitated, here’s hoping you have a nice deep bathtub, lots of plastic sheeting, and access to weekly trash pickup. I leave the rest to the imagination of the reader.

  4. Notice to home invaders: Upon entering a domicile, state your intentions and list any demands of the occupants, such as to locate valuables, open locked safes, turn over contents of wallets, reveal passcodes and PINs. Note any resistance, objections, or opposition from the occupants. This will aid in your defense should you be apprehended and prosecuted.

  5. I can’t wait before they get a taste of their own mostly peaceful medicine. It’s coming and it’s going to be delicious to watch as the hoards of entitled turn on the bastards when the free shit they were promised fails to materialize.

  6. Yeah, right. My county sheriff did the US Constitution part of my CPL class. He said if we ever have a home invader, make sure you shoot him in the front and not the back.

    I like my sheriff. 😁

“I would LOVE to watch him obey his own ruling on “comply” as he’s attacked inside his own house.”

…never happen. Like most political cowards, HE has guys with guns, paid for by taxes, protecting him SPECIFICALLY. Best you can hope for is one of his Preaetorian Guard turns on him.

“As for me, if there’s someone who’s broken into my house, even if I don’t have (access to) a gun, there’s always a good old-fashioned cast iron skillet.”

…”found” weapons are sometimes best, as long as quickly and accurately deployed. There are ALWAYS weapons.

“In that “society”, never, ever call the po-po. They’re about as useless as tits on a boar-hog.”

…They have a use. To the CRIMINAL. They arrest YOU for being mean to THEM.

“That said, once the perp is incapacitated, here’s hoping you have a nice deep bathtub, lots of plastic sheeting, and access to weekly trash pickup. I leave the rest to the imagination of the reader.”

…I live in a quasi-rural setting where no one questions occasional gunshots, open burns, or freshly turned earth. Just saying…

  8. Eff Canada – I’m never going back there for any reason.

Back in 1812 the US sent an incompetent and cowardly general to invade the place. General Howe. He was terrified that a band of Indians working for Britain would invade Michigan, so he surrendered.

The US could have saved Canada and rid the country of its wimp British inherited fear of citizens owning guns attitude.

    2A FOREVER.

  9. How about the government apply that rule to themselves? If the people storm government buildings, the politicians and their well-armed security should stand down and let whatever happens happen.

See how that works out for ya, then come back and tell the people what they should do, eh?

  10. Excellent conditioning tactic. Don’t oppose an intruder (or government) and you might be OK. Give way. Be subservient in any interaction.

Bet this course of (in)action will be in school curriculums soon, if not already.

  11. Although I think it’s unlikely I’ll need them, it’s better to have them anyway. I just added an item to my To-Do List:

    □ Pre-dig several body-sized holes out in the scrub

I don’t. But the El Dorado and Tahoe National Forrest are not that far away. And my local county sheriffs department would help me haul the bodies up there.

    PS, I’m jealous.
