Big fish suck for eating. Muskellunge are horrible for food, but they’re fun to catch. So are Drum, but they’re not Muskellunge.

Fish have no thought pattern, they simply react. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. It’s an amazing 3 d chest game.
Can’t even remember how many times I’ve been in this conversation. If I want trout I can go by them. If I want to catch trout,that’s all on me.

I spend my winters catching trout to eat and my summers catching bass to let them go.
warm water fish don’t taste as good as cold water fish do.
Mother taught us not to play with our food. We catch, fillet and eat.
I thought “catch and release’ was the DOJ rule, under Obama. Applied liberally to all sorts of scum bags who think laws apply to suppress the Constitution.
If you want to explain catch and release,
you only need one word: Gitmo.

To me, catch and release fishing makes about as much sense as golfing. Which is to say, none at all.
If I’m going to go to all that trouble, I may as well just put a weight on the end of the line, a bobber above that, cast out the line, prop up the pole, sit under a tree, and take a nap.
I believe in PETA. People Eating Tasty Animals. And how ya gonna do that with catch and release?
Heh, I have a long time V/Nam vet buddy, he took up golf about 15 years ago.
Every time I call he goes on and on about the new course he has played, while my eyes glaze over.
I called at Christmas, Bill got a hole in one, now I will never hear the end of it.
I guess everybody has a white whale, I plan on eating mine.
