The penalty for swatting should be: first offense–5 years mandatory without parole IF there are no injuries or loss of life.

If you’re being swatted it means your over the litter box. Keep posting the good work.

I’ve said this before – if police respond to a SWATting attempt without identifying the caller they need to be held liable. I understand the potential need for a legitimate operation of this sort, but if they respond that way to an anonymous caller then they are not using proper caution. If they get the caller’s ID and it’s a false call then the caller can be held responsible, otherwise it’s the police who are at fault.

But SURE, let’s have red flag laws.
LCD: I think people are able to hide their numbers. I know blocking to 911 is not the same as blocking to a regular number but it can still be done.
It does seem, though, that people need to give a number and perhaps get a callback. Funny how these things tend to happen in only one direction. If nothing else, that should provide a trail to trace
AITT: I think five years is too light. Ten would be more like it. Have one or two people get sentenced to ten years as this stuff will stop real quick.

Really would like the police to figure out what is real and not real. I Seriously doubt that an elderly adult is cause for a swat attack.
Dumb fuck police think they are above the law and are ready to attack anyone just to show their arrogance against the law abiding citizen. You would have to think the police are from a piss ass town in central Illinois

By now don’t the cops have his personal phone number? They coulda called first, maybe?

Regrettably, my observations of most actual law enforcement have no resemblance to what you see on the boob tube.
They tend to be that half of the population that is double-digit (or below) IQ; much more reactionary than cerebral.

Catturd: “ swatted again”, “catch the scumbag this time”. You’d think the gendarmerie might have flagged that address by now as a target for fake swats. Yeah, maybe this time’s 4 reelz. Boneheads.

@Matt – yeah, but that’s my point. If I were to call in because police action needs to be right now, and in full force, I am happy to give my name and a way they can contact me for more information. I want the best resolution to a very bad problem, and want to help in any way to resolve it safely. If I am trying to be anonymous, to hide my identity, then they have no business barging in with scant information.

DEATH SENTENCE. Could get an innocent person killed.

Yes. That’s the real problem here.

Funny thing, I’m Catturd’s almost exact age and I used to live just a couple of miles from him.
BTW, I’m Loco not Catturd…

You would think these dumb fuck cops would realize after so many times they would figure it out…. Oh never mind, most cops are dumb fucks anyway

LCD: I agree

That doesn’t account for the next door neighbor that doesn’t want to be identified. And honestly I would think that’s the case more times than not. Pablo is killing his baby mama and that shit’s gotta stop. But I’m cool.
They need to figure something out. The bastards that call this shit in are risking everyone’s life. After all, this is basically a no knock warrant where cops die. Personally I think with today’s technology this could easily be stopped. I’m not sure they want it stopped.

Can we send a couple of SWAT teams to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue… Washington, DC?

Loco
I think they did when they found the coke. The bastards just snorted it all and messed up the carpet.

We had a cop in St Marys who shot three chained up dogs before they fired him. He’s probably chief of police somewhere, now.
