  1. Couldn’t have happened to a better bunch of assholes, except for the new assholes they will doubtless hire to go after President Trump. I’m sure these assholes didn’t have the ratings the new commie assholes they will proffer.

  2. Cathy Herridge and her friend Henry Porridge, who was on the same news commentary program with her, are gone. No more Herridge and Porridge Coffee Hour during the CBS morning lineup. No more of those beloved animated cartoon coffee cups laughing and dancing around a bowl of porridge at the beginning of the show.

CBS Spokestooge: Let me be clear, it has nothing to do with CBS bleeding thousands of dollars a second, which is a lie fomented by MSNBC and CNN, who are also losing thousands every second.

It has to do with more with their funny names. Our viewers said they just tuned in to watch and listen to the animated song jingle and have a laugh with their kids, then turned the channel. We’re sorry our newcasters have funny names, but CBS isn’t responsible and is no longer going to pay to be the butt of jokes.

  3. CBS announced that the Herridge and Porridge Coffee Hour will be replaced by a news segment featuring a pair of AI entities, named Peipee and Poupon, the first one a Chinese AI character and the second a French AI character. Because they are not human, but AI generated, viewers will take them more seriously than Herridge and Porridge, according to a CBS spokesperson.

The show has not been named, but insiders say it will be The Peipee and Poupon Coffee Hour.

  4. They should have laid off their on-air engineers long ago. I had a Bell Atlantic job there in about 1998. The chief engineer was shitting kittens about some 4420 ckt was out-of-specification at 1004 cycles… and he was checking it with a dBVAC meter and not making the conversions. I had to explain several times that the telco uses dBm and terminates the measurement. He went nuts. Screaming and acting a fool.

I showed him my meter, and how it was set up, and then showed him on my Simpson that he was measuring the wrong shit. And then I showed him the NSRM. He finally relented.

I really don’t understand how you can become a chief engineer and NOT understand simple shit like dBm, dbVAC, dBrnC, VUs, etc.

  5. It’s not accurate to use the Bell System Network Services Reference Manual?

I guess I’m wrong. Except EVERY time I adhered to the rules it worked. EVERY FUCKING TIME.

There are some X-files in there. But they are NOT the Bell Systems X-files.

ADAS, SMAS, MFTs… we all figured it out. At least one or two of us.
