This was from 3 weeks ago, but things haven’t changed.
Benz: I’ve been working on a very detailed & formal 2 hour video going over my investigation into the free speech & censorship concerns that played out here on X this week. Need to attend a family trip now but wanted at least something up b4 leaving, so cobbled this 18 min placeholder.
Tested it, can confirm “Free Speech Absolutist” was really Absolute BS.
On the other hand it is a private company now, right to refuse service.
Anything the owner doesn’t like will get you banned.
Actions speak much louder than platitudes.
Don’t trust any of [them].
I never got a reason for being permanently banned there.
I was banned after logging in after using an email they sent. They wanted me to see my page, so they could ban me for logging in (and then they told me I wasn’t supposed to because I was banned. So I was double permanent banned, I guess) lol.
I was there barely 2 months and made maybe 2 or 3 comments. And nothing nasty, either. Yeah, I know you’re shocked. lol.
MJA
I was permabanned a couple years back. I recently tried to log back on for the hell of it and viola. I don’t comment at all. I figure one wrong move and I’m gone. X is hard to beat for breaking news. Plus it’s worth having just to watch what Elon’s up to.
The problem with it is, X has held the account holders’ funds. And the people who subscribed to them (but cannot see the posts) keep getting money taken out of their bank accounts to do so. It’s what Paypal and gofundme used to do until somebody sued them.
As Benz said, why would anyone spend $6 to $100 per month (depending on what they’re doing) and then for no stated reason, and without proper response period allowed, get their accounts and their licensed (or not) property held hostage? Just because Elon threw a fit one day and then forgot he banned you and stole your shit, it’s okay?
Theft is theft.
Bad_Brad that’s why I look at it (breaking news) from the roof of the warehouse next door. lol
