A CUNY Dufus Professor of Journalism named Eric Alterman wrote:
“New York Times columnist David Brooks recently expressed his concern that “the anti-Trump movement is a failure…. We have persuaded no one…. We have not hindered him…. We have not dislodged him…. We have not contained him.” Brooks then went on to note that “Trump’s takeover of the Republican Party is complete. Eighty-nine percent of Republicans have a positive impression of the man. According to an NBC News Wall Street Journal poll, 59 percent of Republicans consider themselves more a supporter
of Trump than of the Republican Party.
By Brooks’s own estimation, he and his fellow anti-Trump conservatives represent a politically insignificant splinter of the Republican Party. And yet their number includes not only Brooks, but Bret Stephens and Ross Douthat on the Times’ op-ed
page Michael Gerson, Jennifer Rubin, Max Boot, Charles Krauthammer, Kathleen Parker, and George Will on The Washington Post’s op-ed page; Will, Stephens, Michael Steele, Joe Scarborough, Nicolle Wallace, and Peggy Noonan on MSNBC Brooks, Gerson, Amy Holmes, and, soon, Margaret Hoover on PBS as well as Max Boot, S.E. Cupp on CNN.”

Sour Patch list
Krauthammer dropped off the radar in 2015.
Just like the rest on that list.
Maxwells Silver Hammer.
Sorry, but my tears are for the babies being ripped from migrant women who want a better life for their children.
He was smart but not wise.
Rest in Peace Charles. I enjoyed your commentary for years. You will be missed.
Hey Larry TL. No tears for the women? Just the babies? How ’bout the babies ripped from the mothers’ wombs by Planned Parenthood? Any tears for them?
Gone to soon. NeverTrumpers I don’t mourn for. As far as I’m concerned he died with his black hat on. It’s too bad, he had potential. RIP
Tough crowd…
Rest In Peace Charles.
First day of Summer, I hope you left peacefully.
May your family be strong.
I’m goingto miss Charles, he was a rarity on Television always going with Honesty.
I didn’t always agree with all his ideas, but he always made me think twice three times, and sometimes he converted me. A replacement will be difficult to locate, but then perhaps one may not even exist.
Look at this. Anything to keep the suspicious death of KOKO, the worlds only sign language talking gorilla who didn’t know how to flip the bird …..off the radar.
You’ll not die in vain, gentle gorilla…..
A true gentleman. Always intelligent commentary. A Liberal convert to the Conservative cause.
The first chapter of Charles’ 2013 book “Things That Matter” should be required reading for all. Hint… it’s not about politics.
Badco
You know what, I liked and admired him. He was a voice of civility and reason, all too rare in this raucous and character-assassination atmosphere.
RIP, Charles. May you already be in heaven.
@Larry The Liberal June 21, 2018 at 7:25 pm
Me too, Larry. My tears would fill a swimming pool. How about yours? Enough to fill Dodger Stadium?
Poor Lazlo sez: I liked him. He was sharp witted and by all reports a kind man.
Kind is good.
Not enough of it going around
S.E.Cupp……………never was anything
Morning Joe…….a washout foxer
Lived about 40 years paralyzed. Not sure if he was religious but hope God healed and took him home.
RIP
I could listen to this guy discuss paperclips. Brilliant analytical mind, coupled with a wicked sense of humor. Trapped in a shell of a body, he made the most of it, and then some.
RIP, Charles. I will miss you…
We need our conservatives. All we can get. We can’t wait for liberals to overdose on heroin. We lost some good ones. Strom, Jesse, and of course Ronald. RIP Mr Krauthammer.
A good man, too young.
Rest In Peace Sir!
Intellectually the communist, oops, democrat party does not have a very deep bench. Never have and never will have anyone as wise as Doctor Krauthammer.
Debate for debates sake that ALWAYS ended in nothing.
Everytime.
Always.
1000’s of tonnes of hot air expelled
Talk Talk Talk
I Like A Man Of Action.
Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord,
the soul of Thy servant,
from every bond of sin,
that being raised in the glory of the resurrection,
he may be refreshed among the Saints and Elect.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
I have always enjoyed Krauthammer’s views. I am not one that automatically shuts out someone I don’t agree with, which is good. Sometimes I agreed, sometimes I didn’t. Every time he made me think.
RIP
Has anyone noticed that those that have been against Trump has met some untimely death, disease, job loss? Krauthammer was a noTrumper, McCain, Bourdaine, McCabe, etc. I call it the Trump curse.
Charles was a rational man. Like all of us, he was: Sometimes incorrect, always passionate, one to debate and never condescending. Not always liked for his opinions, but cordial. I wish I could have met him.
He loved the United States, the Constitution.
God Bless Charles. He will be missed.
Not an atheist, but a religious skeptic.

Only 68.
I will miss him. Not always my cup of tea,he was smart and made us think.
A good replacement for him would be Dennis Prager or Larry Arnn.
@ghost of col j glover June 21, 2018 at 10:49 pm
Dude. Don’t know what your loaded up with. But this is not the thread to be requesting small rodent deliveries.

this is sad news……this makes me cry…..
even when he gave up hope, i was always hoping…..
Not always did I agree with him but I did respect his opinion. He was a good man. A good American. I will miss him and his perspective.
mrs6pak is smarter than I am sometimes. I was a bit harsh in my comment regarding his dying with his black hat on. I was wrong, he really was a respectful guy. I just have a bad taste in my mouth over NeverTrumpers that have not come back and given POTUS the credit he deserves. I have liked him, and he mostly has said things I agreed with. RIP Mr. Krauthammer.
@ Sour – Have not watched FOX since BEFORE Hussein regime so that is my remembrance of CK.
We remember though really enjoying CK orally ‘swashbucklin’ away with his wit and wim.
‘Charles’ was about knowledge and delivery, he used facial expressions to convey what he wanted to say because he was paralyzed.
Some call this stoic. Some call it adaptably brilliant.
@ Plain Jane – God Bless.
RIP CK

RIP Dr. Krauthammer
Not going to shed a tear for a Fox JEWS contributor.
He was a squishey conservative, and could care a less that he’s gone.
