Springfield, Ohio, residents raised dire concerns about crime and the influx of migrants during a town hall with Vivek Ramaswamy on Thursday.
Under the Biden-Harris administration, Haitian migration increased the town’s population by an estimated 25 percent, according to the Columbus Dispatch. City critics say it is a Haitian invasion, leading to deaths, displaced residents, and surging insurance rates.
“There simply are too many mass migrants here in this town, and they’re too richly subsidized. It’s pushing people out of their homes. It’s pushing people out of their jobs,” one resident said during the town hall.
“We are at a level of desperation,” another meeting attendee stated. “We have been put down and called racists, not only in print but also to our faces at city commission meetings.” more
Having the cops being too lazy/derelict to respond when you are in danger probably has nothing to do with their Haitian problem, this is the state of affairs nationwide. Sure, the cowardly police chief, not willing to rock the boat, no doubt told his officers to leave the Haitians pretty much alone because this is a political issue, but this gives the beat cop one more excuse to sit on his hands and not risk any confrontations that might get him into trouble.

I read a tweet on X where a group of citizens asked Vivek to run for governor! I’m sure they are sick of the “leadership” that hates them.
I know a little about that being in Michigan. Whitner, Nessel, and Benson want to rule the world as soon as they are done destroying my state.
It should be evident that the “government” (local, state, Federal) isn’t going to protect you. Self-help is all that’s left. The “authorities” have put you in this position intentionally. The criminals aren’t your only problem. Before it’s all said and done there will be chaos. Old Barney had it right – “Nip it in the Bud.”
