Child sex offenders convicted in Alabama will be given drugs to suppress their sexual urges before being released from prison under legislation sent to the governor for approval on May 31.
The Alabama State Legislature overwhelmingly passed House Bill 379 (HB379), legislating mandatory “chemical castration in addition to any other penalty or condition prescribed by law” for anyone eligible for parole and convicted of a sex offense involving someone 13 years old or younger.
Unlike surgical castration, which involves the severing of one’s genitals, chemical castration uses drugs to suppress sexual urges.
The bill passed by both the House (72 votes for and 16 against) and Senate (27 for unopposed) has been forwarded to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey (R). It empowers the Department of Public Health to administer the treatment and make the convict pay for all associated expenses or otherwise be charged with violating a condition of parole. more here

…I don’t have a problem with ANYTHING bad you wanna do to child molesters, but this does misunderstand the underlying psychology of rape. Sex is really SECONDARY to the rapist, its REALLY about power, dominance, forcing submission, humiliation of the victim. Deprive the rapist of his penis, and he will simply use a bottle, broom handle, fist, whatever strikes his fancy.
His pleasure is perverse, not penile. If anything, it’s likey it will drive him to even HARSHER abuse, as “revenge” for his penile punishment.
…and I WISH I didn’t know what I was talking about. When I was a medic, I saw both rape victim and rape perp, the former usually children, the latter usually 20-30ish creeps, with tbe occasional incest rapist thrown in, and usually on The Magic Bus under LEO escort because the police, family, or both lumped him up. We had to treat them like patients because the law said so, but they were fortunate that the guy with the gun was in the car BEHIND us and not ME, because I would make a lousy LEO since I’d be a bit too tempted to summary judgement in these cases.
I talked to both victims and perps, whichever one I had at the time, because you learn things that way, sometimes things you can use in court. The REAL pedo is surprisingly forthcoming about his twist, and in one case to the point of saying he did it, wasn’t sorry, and would do it again when he got out.
And they DO. Statistically, pedos are the worst sort of recidivists. The only thing that reliably stops them is lead to the head.
Which brings us back to castratration. While it satisfys a deep-seated, Hammurabi part of our sense of justice to go after the proximate offending organ, it’s the BIG head that needs clipped, not so much the LITTLE one.
So, by all means, castrste.
Then execute.
It’s the only way to be sure.

…actually, if you wanna go THAT way, caustic potash would be better. It doesn’t hurt…at FIRST…but it DOES make the skin sluff off, PARTICULARLY when rubbed, and then the REAL pain starts as it goes after muscle and exposed, raw nerve ends.
And it’s VERY difficult to wash off.
…all if which would make it fun to televise, as a warning to OTHERS, but for extra laughs you could give them hydrochloric acid to rinse with…
