  1. @bob frapples

That is exactly what I was thinking.
Her books were good, I remember them as i am only 51.

I doubt those books would be well received or printed now days.
(Thinking of Dr. Seusse) Lucky no one tried to cancel thin woman.

  2. Oh yes, Ramona, Beezus, Henry and other characters. Not my favorite author as a child, but solid. 104 is a long time to live! So many things she witnessed!

  3. “No cause of death was given.”

Because, as we all know, people don’t just die for no reason, as evidenced by the scores of people living among us who are hundreds of years old.

  4. LOVED her books when I was a kid… soo many decades ago. In the school library and on order from Scholastic Books (cheap paperbacks we ordered through the school that I now realize must have given a kickback to the union).
Beezus and Ramona: that was me and my little sister! (I know: ‘my sister and I’ but it makes more sense the other way, as does the ‘dawnzer lee light.’)

Aroma, the pet skunk… Ralph and the motorcycle… My childhood love of reading…

Please don’t cancel Beverly Cleary! Gotta buy those books for nieces and nephews!!
