China Floods: Dam Collapse

As China is slammed with record breaking flooding, many are wondering if China’s dams can survive the floods? The Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric dam in the world, has become deformed. But authorities say its still safe. But if the dam collapses, it could spell disaster for major cities including Wuhan and Chongqing.

  1. The Chinese “State-run media” looks an awful lot like the U.S. “democrat party-run media”. Almost like they are being controlled by the same people. Weird.

  2. Di-hydrogen monoxide is the most dangerous chemical known to man.
More people have died from it that all other chemicals combined.
    Contributing factors:
Although it contains oxygen you cannot breath it – attempting to results in severe respiratory distress.
In it’s liquid state, its density is surprisingly close to that of humans, leading in some cases to the ability for humans to float temporarily, but not continuously. A false sense of security often leads to deadly respiratory distress. Also, this high density causes it to flow downward at massive force and velocity due to gravity. At sufficient volumetric rate, this force can overwhelm the strength of a human body, sometimes sweeping it into ditches, gullies and gorges, often leading to deadly respiratory distress. In some cases the forces can be capable of crushing the human body, leading to various forms of distress.
It’s unique ability to change state from liquid to solid and back sometimes leads to humans to gain a false sense of security in cold climates and mistakenly assume it can support their weight. Again the result sometimes leads to deadly respiratory distress.
In its gaseous state its temperature is capable of disolving human tissue, leading to burns and in some cases, death.
Even though it is often hazardous, humans must also consume certain amounts daily in order to survive. Insufficient daily quantities often lead to illness and in some circumstances, death.

  4. Sounds like the dam just needs a little nudge.

I remember the news coverage when it was being built… all those valleys destroyed, including much of China’s history. China somehow allowed interviews with land owners and their objections to get out.

  5. No worry. Three Gorges Dam is not collapsing; instead, the party is planning a massive water distribution program that will likely be accomplished in much less than five years after implementation commences.

  6. Not an unexpected event if you follow REAL climate news sources.
    Global weather forcast:
A Solar Minimum is here with a very possible “Grand Solar Minimum” on the way.
That means irregular North/South Jet Streams instead of typical West/East. (Look at a current jet stream map if you think me wrong) The weather will be very hard to predict past a few weeks and overall it will be colder and wetter worldwide but with hotspots in places we don’t expect.
This instability will make farming a dicey proposition.
Food will get harder to raise and prices will be higher. Famines that we havn’t seen in 50 years will come back to kill and foment wars over what we have long taken for granted.
Sorry about the bad news, but the Sun regulates our weather and it has gone to sleep.
    Prayers May help.

  7. John, you are correct, sir. The National Weather Service blew its forecasts for the Northwest all Spring long. Just recently is the jetstream acting a little more predictably.

But here comes the winter of 2020/2021, post election, with a tanked ecomomy, unemployment, COVID, no school for kids, riots, homelessness… And it’s a La Nina year.

Dogs and cats could quite possibly be living together.

  8. Having traveled into the interior of China (and off the beaten western tourist routes), I can attest to the outcome of the total corruption of every Chinese — not just their party. It looks almost exactly like the outcomes from Democrat-run public works and social services. Everything is sub-standard, way over budget and has to be torn down or replaced way before any standard of “useful life” is met. Hell, some of their structures and infrastructure look like it should have never been built. I’ve visited CCP-run, official offices that had no windows! No windows! A “modern” office building with NO WINDOWS. And it wasn’t as though the building was still under construction, either.

We stayed at an hotel funded by Australians (with local workers) in which you could see the broken concrete and rebar sticking out from the sides of the concrete stairways in a 10-story hotel. They looked as though any heavy use would cause then to collapse. And that was one of their better hotels.

Just like the Democrats, the downstream party members line their pockets, pay bribes, steal materials and lie about their work all the time. By the time it’s time to build, there’s no money left to do it with. It’s all been siphoned off. It’s understood by all involved that this is exactly how the system works. No one expects to get anything done without corruption baked into the cake.

This is what the Communist Democrats want to do in our country. They’ve got their part of it pretty nailed down, now they want the rest of us to operate this way.

  9. John, you beat me to it. It is indeed Grand Solar Minimum. And we are in it. It will last for decades. Sunspots are intense magnetic storms that produce solar wind, that shields us from cosmic rays. In Grand Solar Minimum, the shield is down. Increased cosmic rays cause more precipitation, change the jet stream, and also change the viscosity of magma. That brings earthquakes and volcanoes. Can you say Yellowstone?
