China: Media Admit Chinese Travelers Are Lying About Coronavirus Exposure

Breitbart:

China’s state-run Global Times ran an editorial on Wednesday calling for the Chinese people to unite against the Wuhan coronavirus epidemic, which of course means “trust and obey the Communist Party” in practice.

The article was surprisingly focused on chastising citizens who lie about potential exposure to the virus while traveling within China or abroad.

Such an editorial from a Chinese Communist Party organ suggests the party is embarrassed by the number of people testing positive for the coronavirus when they arrive at foreign airports. Coronavirus infections have been detected in 26 countries as of Thursday, the vast majority of them travelers who recently visited China. read more

  1. There are 11 Americans who tested positive forthe virus quarantined on that cruise ship in a Japanese harbor.
They are a near perfect test case for who gets how sick
and for how long that the Chinese can’t control.

  2. A story making the rounds this week has posed the question: Where, o’ where, is Winnie The Xi? He hasn’t been seen since 1/28. Piglet, Tigger? You wanted all the power moron.

  3. The old expression, “statistics don’t lie” is up for discussion. Something is VERY wrong there. They now have three provinces, 60 cities and 400 million people in quarantine.

We need to understand why this virus is not spreading at a similar rate outside China – at this point in time. But will it eventually? I suspect we’ll know within weeks.

  4. I have some friends in Beijing (citizens). They are scared there.
I am all for criticizing the government, the censorship, the general communist way of life, but my thoughts and prayers go out to the thousands(probably) who have died or are going to die, 10s of thousands who have already infected and the millions who have been impacted.

  5. The numbers of those that are infected and the number of deaths was accidentally posted two days ago and quickly taken down. The deaths number well into the thousands.

I’ve been monitoring that site for the past week.
Notice that North Korea has NO reported incidents of Coronavirus, while all countries surrounding it have many confirmed cases.
Kim’s medical policies must be monumentally superior to the rest of the world!

I figure it’s a reflection of the travel restictions imposed on the norks. North Koreans aren’t in and out of China like South Koreans and Japanese. I also don’t picture many Chinese traveling to Hermit-Heaven.

We’ll see. Not much truth reported from China and Nk.

Either way, I’m sure Bernie could make their medical policies even better:)

  8. Jethro,

Probably both. No doubt they’ll hide the numbers just as they hide any bad news. Probably easier to hide the numbers in nK than China.

The general population isn’t healthy so they’re gonna be hit pretty hard once the virus hits.

    We’ll see.

  9. Jethro,

The norks heard you, lol. They found a case. Not confirmed, only suspected.
