14 Comments on Christians caused “The Little Ice Age” !!!
Because the Europeans stopped the indigenous Americans’ practice of burning vast swaths of land?
#deforestation 😉
“…and, perhaps, into our atmosphere.”
The word “perhaps” has little use in Science.
IMHO, anyway.
*newsflash*
We’re in an ice age right now. Hence the persistent ice at both north and south poles.
The Aztec, Mayan, and Norse migrations were already finished by the time the “Age of Exploration” began in Europe – by about 400 years.
They don’t need “higher resolution chronology;” they need less Globaloney Warming Religiosity.
Reading the comments to the linked article is a hoot, totally debunks the article itself. . . And the commenters aren’t even scientists in search of FedGov funding.
Myself, I always figured the Catholic Church was a powerful organization back-in-the-day. I just didn’t figure HOW powerful. Wow! Able to alter climate and the atmosphere! Now THAT’S powerful! Thanks for the education.

And I have read (one? two?) of the Charles Mann 149x series. Even though he often doesn’t have any direct physical archeological proof, what he says usually makes more “common sense” then the FedGov funded eggheads political punditry.
If that were the case, the hundred million people killed off by totalitarianism in the 20th century should have us all visiting the ski chalets of Barbados right now. What crap.
The inability to separate ones belief system from scientific discovery has retarded the advancement of civilization since it’s inception.
This hubris that man can control the climate, or even stop a single drop of rain from forming, constitutes the greatest threat to the scientific process since the Church went after Galileo.
I have no doubt that we will gain the ability to temporarily alter local atmospheric conditions, however that future has not arrived.
And the fact that Greenland is still white and not green. The little ice age never ended, it just slowed down.
So let me get this straight. Western civilized “white” men are to blame for global warming. But also seven hundred years ago (about six hundred years before the industrial revolution) they were also to blame for global cooling?
Globull Warming Gasbags are certainly entertaining kooks
Although I agree with the conclusion of the study, I disagree with the arguments. I think the missionaries were responsible for global…whatever…because they were too busy tooling around in their high emissions Cadillacs and smoking Cuban cigars on their way to native American airports to fly away in their private jets. Furthermore, the lack of solar panel technology and the fact that these missionaries were completely obnoxious neighbors induced the natives to move away to the suburbs, resulting in overgrown lawns and unkept shrubbery which probably caught fire once in a while.
This is just a working theory, and I really need a lot of money to flesh out the details. However, rest assured that my research will result in a conclusion that requires a lot of money, higher taxation and loss of personal freedom.
and liberals mock me for believing in God existence.
wait…. I thought one of beliefs of the religion of theGlow Bull Warmers Climate Changers was that human de-population was a good thing?
