Christopher Columbus’ remains discovered after more than 500 years DNA analysis confirms

DMUK-

Scientists have solved the 500-year-old mystery surrounding Christopher Columbus’ final resting place.

The team spent 20 years performing a DNA analysis on human bones found buried in Spain‘s Seville Cathedral, confirming with ‘absolute certainty’ they belonged to the explorer who died in 1506.

For the past two decades, they have been comparing DNA taken from the samples with that of relatives and descendants.

The findings come just ahead of the U.S. holiday in his name, this Monday, timed to the second Monday in October each year to commemorate the Italian voyager’s Oct. 12, 1492 discovery of the ‘New World’ for Spain. more

  1. And just in time for Columbus Day which is today October 12th. And eff indigenous people’s day or whatever left wing bs they call it now. And Monday is another excuse for the feds and state govts, banks, schools to take another day off from work. Is the boomer generation the last ones to know about Columbus since he’s now politically incorrect?

  2. Speaking of Indians, the lawsuit involving the juvenile KC Chief fan who was defamed by some dumbass lib reporter is going forward;

Since Columbus is on par with Hitler and King Leopold (if you are not familiar with this guy, Google him, what a piece of work) as the most evil characters in history, I doubt Hollywood would touch him. Too bad, I can see it now, Will Smith could play him, sailing to America on his three ships; The Lizzo, The Diddy, and The Snoop.

  3. As much as I admire Chris Columbus, the finding of his actual body changes……what?
He’s still dead, he did what he did.
Finding the remains of his mortal remains changes nothing about his life and deeds.I
    Soooooo……..big whooptee.

Exactly. These days it’s about process and “intentions.” Oh for the days when it was about results and improving the human condition.

Intentions cannot be measured, or even validated for that matter. results can be measured and quantified. That makes results like Kryptonite to progressive/Marxist/Satanists and demand in their eyes to be labeled disinformation lest they frustrate advancing their agenda.

“In 1487, 5 years before Columbus’ arrival, the Aztec people sacrificed as many as 84,000 men, women, and children at the re-consecration of the great pyramid at Tenochititlan.
    Happy Indigenous Peoples Day!”

It’s important to verify that the remains in his grave are, in fact actually his, so the leftist vermin can desecrate it with confidence.

  7. I saw something that said by the time you are a few generations removed, any particular DNA is so diluted that you can’t really make any connection. Assuming 500 years between when Columbus died and his current family was born, and assuming 30 years per generation, that is about 16 generations. Since is is exponential, that would mean that his current descendants would have 1/(2 to the 16th power) of his DNA. In other words, Columbus’s DNA would be 1/65536 of his descendants’ DNA.

Also, by this point all they could probably use is just mitochondrial DNA which can only be passed down through females.

This is not to say that I am an expert, but I have seen this explained on several forensic shows and read about it as well, so I am fairly confident of at least some accuracy.

  8. OK. Now STOP. Don’t spend 40 years and twice as much money in a foolish attempt to track down the remains of Julius Ceaser.

This is how some, not all, scientists “earn” their pay, usually provided by taxpayers, and to justify their existence. By doing things that either don’t mean squat or that can actually hurt us.
